VAWA Dead — For Now

by W.F. Price on January 2, 2013

House Republicans let the Violence Against Women Act expire when they refused to pass a beefed-up, more expensive version that extended extra money and programs to illegal immigrants, lesbians and Indian tribes. What I’m curious about is why the lesbians need it, since as we all know only men commit domestic violence…

I wouldn’t count on the bill staying dead, but it’s pretty expensive, and the money just isn’t there like it used to be. We may be seeing the beginning of the unraveling of the feminist regime due to its success in disenfranchising the men who have paid for it. Feminism is a self-defeating movement precisely because it consumes and destroys what made it possible in the first place: private, male-created wealth.

However, rather than cheer the end of this despicable, sexist bill, we should take a moment to reflect upon the men who have lost their families, careers and even lives as a result of its excesses.

Below is a video of a man, suspected of DV, being shot in the back when he tries to flee from a female police officer. As he lies bleeding on the ground, other officers offer her comfort for the distress she suffered from blasting a chunk of lead through a man’s back:

Let’s hope this is, indeed, the beginning of the end of feminism.

I would call feminism parasitic, but all the literal parasites have more class, worth and virtue than all feminazis, manginas, and white knights put together.

I wager that all the VAWA funding will continue to flow out of DC, by Executive Order. “Julia” demands it.

oddsock, how can the current global economic situation be bad, when there are so many government central banks working to fix it? Are you implying that central government control can’t solve all problems?

Yes, Idaho Republican Senator, Mike Crapo defected, but there are almost always defectors on both sides in Congressional voting, as there was here. Six Dems swung over, Google the rest.
Thanks to the GOP, there is still time to contact our Reps and Sens (for what Sens are worth). It doesn’t hurt to let them know what their constituents want. Also, VAWA covers a lot things, there are some provisions which, according to my US Senator, benefit children. It can be amended to remove provisions as well as add provisions, as we see here.

When we see people like Sens Patty Murray and Diane Fienstien etc get strongly concerned it’s time to thank the GOP and show them we want more of the same.

Support them and use them. It worked for the Feminists, it could work for us.

But, we shouldn’t be just “guarding” ourselves and hoping somebody else does our job, we should go on the attack. If we wan’t our country back, we have to stop with the spectator shit and become players. This a great opportunity to begin.

VAWA- Rest in Peace you piece of shit legislation.

Cut the funding for the Candy like dispensary of Civil DV Protection Orders down at King County Courthouse. Maybe we will have a few less missing children like Sky Metalwala, a few more female perpetrators like Jennifer Kolone (who sliced her BF testicles almost completely off) would be held accountable, she wasn’t as Satterberg dropped the assault charges.

Maybe the real damaged goods of society like Michael La Rosa will not be sent to get health care from a social worker (DVPT) instead of a PhD and in turn will not chop two people to death with a hatchet (thanks Commissioner Meg Sassaman). La Rosa was just acquitted in December of Double Homicide.

VAWA going away if the first step.

Hitlary recent and sudden illness that now turns out to be a blood clot. Right before she has to testify on the embassy shoot out. Obama shedding a few tears on camera for the victims of the Sandy Hook school shooting while sending drones to bomb the crap out of family gatherings weddings funerals and schools, globally. Bush and the Iraq have weapons of mass destruction, somewhere ?

We even have our very own Mickey T with the “what tent cities ? ” You shouldn’t believe everything you read on the internet Oddsock.
Ohh those tent cities ? They are of no concern to the bigger picture!

Ok? Still with me? Central banks are doing what the governments tell them to do. Then ask yourself why all the governments are suddenly asking where and who has all their gold deposits and why they now want them back in their own country.

Sorry Mickey T. I could not resist. Blame it on those feckin cultural marxists lol.

Off topic-

I guess everybody knows that Sec’y of State and Benghazi affair hearing absentee, Hillary Clinton was released from the hospital tonight after treatment for a blood clot between her brain and her skull. Although this clot came about after her fall and sustaining a concussion, an ugly stomach virus, fainting and becoming dehydrated in the past few weeks, the doctors expect a complete recovery. The doctors clearly state that she did NOT suffer from a stroke and there was NO neurological damage.

It sounds like they are saying that she’s too sick to testify at the hearings, but not too sick to hold any high office positions , including the highest office in the land.

Chris,

Sorry to say, VAWA has not gone away. It’s funding has temporarily been halted for reauthorized with the additional Senate provisions giving women more rights, as Bill stated. The House proposal is still on the table and available at any time if the Senate version does not pass both Houses. In other words, we’re still screwed, but not screwed any more than usual.

“Actually, the Republicans would’ve passed VAWA if it weren’t for some of the additions made, particularly with respect to extending juristiction to tribal courts.

http://thehill.com/homenews/house/223719-house-gop-to-keep-controversial-issues-out-of-their-violence-against-women-act

The Republicans are dead right at least with respect to Native Americans. When, in the entire history of the U.S., did we allow Non-Native American citizens to be subject to Tribal Law? As for the people arguing that this leaves a loophole for non-natives to rape natives on reservations, it does not as it is extremely well settled that disputes between non-natives and natives, even on reservation, is subject to the jursitiction of the state or the federal government. If the DOJ is not prosecuting cases under VAWA in such circumstances, that is the fault of the DOJ and not for any lack of jurisdiction.

It looks as if the Democrats have completely forgotten about the Rule of Law, or wanted to play politics at the expense of women. Since the democrats weren’t going to yield on that, then yes, there should be no compromise. Even if it involves voting against a “Prevent people from killing puppies” type of law, that is bound to provoke irrational emotional responses and to be used as political gamesmenship against the Republicans. And it appears to be working in view of the comments here.”

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t everybody equally protected under law before VAWA. Oh that’s right. Pre-VAWA the standard procedure was dual arrests when a domestic disturbance was reported. Which makes sense to prevent any bias. Next would be to remove bias from restraining orders, having someone removed from their place of residence on the word of someone else seems a bit unconstitutional. Child custody is really an irrevocable right, not granted by the state at all. Unless a parent formally denounces wanting his child he shouldn’t have to pay. Alimony is simply a fraud thru and thru.

If you stick with the basics of having the right to life, freedom/liberty and property, most problems solve themselves. It’s only when you add something or take away something that a myriad of problems arise.

@oddsock

The only thing you have incorrect, because it’s really a one party system. Both simply want power for the state.

The thing you stated that’s incorrect is this. “Central banks are doing what the governments tell them to do.”

Central banks don’t do what governments tell them to do, governments do what the central banks tell them to do. The “lender” always has power over the “spender.” It’s no different than a private loan between a person and the bank, or a business and a bank. The bank always holds all the power and dictates the actions.

Basically everyone of the founding fathers said the same thing. Never allow a private bank to control the funding of a country. The primary reason they fought for this country was to escape the rule of the international bankers. We lost that battle in 1913 when the finances were covertly handed over to the federal reserve. Try reading the creature from Jekyll Island.

Video’s a bit random. I don’t think the female cop is especially trigger happy. A bit panicky but the shooting victim’s lack of compliance helped her. She was able to plausibly use the justification that she thought the shooting victim was reaching for his cell phone/hairbrush/wallet/pistol. After an inquiry no charges were brought against her by the DA.

The shooting victim, Mr. Devin Reddick, apparently committed suicide later in 2011. There’s an obituary page for Mr. Reddick here with an interesting and rather sad comment from a former girlfriend.

As far as I can tell Mr. Reddick had at least four children so met his genetic imperative to a greater extent than most men reading this.

Let’s reiterate where VAWA funds go.
Since VAWA funding went to “educating law enforcement” and hundreds of DV laws have been adjusted to reflect “zero tolerance”, the need for “Battered Women’s Shelters” as dropped substantially, and yet they remain as prevelant in our towns and cities as ever. Why is that?

Why is it when I drive through the “Cultural Marxist ;) ” enclave of Boulder, CO do I see homeless men on every other corner? Because Women’s Domestic Violence Shelters have become defacto homeless shelters for women, yet they still rake in funding and donations under the premise of domestic violence. That’s the dirty little secret no one in the media will dare reveal…because the media needs advertisers and women by lot’s of stuff from those advertisers.

Republicans are holding the bill up because:

a) We’re running an annual deficit of over $1,000,000,000,000.
b) Our debt is now approaching $16, 500,000,000,000.
c) They’re questioning the effectiveness and appropriation, IOW the Party of NO wants some accountability as to the use of the funds.

And of course they’re being blamed by the likes of Welmer’s favorite Senator Patty Murray as being “FOR violence against women”. Only now they’ve added “violence against women of color and LGBTQ”. So they’re Misogynist AND Racist AND Homophobic all at once. Evil, cold-hearted, privilaged white male Republicans!

The rampent corruption in our Family Courts is most encouraged by VAWA and the other 50,000 little laws across america legislated into existence by the Hate group the National Organization for Women since 1992 largely on the taxpayers dime. There will be NO JUSTICE in the family courts until these bigoted laws are recognized and repealed. The “RAPE CRISIS” as purpretrated in the Media is merely Feminist Bullshit to keep the many multi-billion dollar DV Industries going and the Federal money pouring into Law Enforcement, Courts, lawyers, Psychological industry, Prisons and many other cottage feminist fueled Industries that destroy Fathers, Families, Children and our Nation. VAWA must never be reauthorized. VAWA must be REPEALED as well as the thousands of little laws in the FCA, DRL, SSL, Penal Laws, Executive law (that’s the NYS ‘Domestic Violence Registry) and alot of other adopted radical feminist procedures (like Integrated Domestic Violence Courts and Exparte Tempory Protection Orders. The President really should appoint a Czar and DECLARE a WAR ON FEMINIST BULLSHIT because this crap is CHILD ABUSE BY THE STATE. For people who’ve never been subject to a police response for a DV accusation, it probably seems a bit random, but if you have been there it’s a very personal thing. VAWA demands an aggressive response to all accusations — this is why the guy was shot. They literally treat men like armed bank robbery suspects in these situations.

I could have been him. When I had a cop pointing an AR-15 at me I was totally oblivious to the situation (I’d done nothing, so naturally I wasn’t expecting it), and if I’d suddenly noticed him who knows what “suspicious move” I might have made out of fear or alarm? That’s how close we all are to death, and VAWA has a lot to do with it. When you get down to it, VAWA is a gun pointed at American men. It is so barbaric that when you tell foreigners about how it is here, they generally don’t believe you.

Mickey T January 3, 2013 at 14:55

The bills (Senate and House) are dead in the water for the moment. They will be reintroduced at a later time with almost certainly, some very interesting new wording from both Houses. In the meantime, it’s business as usual.

Assuming that we all know what VAWA is, what it has done, is doing and will continue to do if unchecked, the most important issue here is that there is a political party taking a firm stance against Feminist policies which seem to be written in stone.

I just got off the telephone with my Congressman’s (GOP) office. I posed several questions to them, but since they were unable to readily answer the questions accurately, they offered to do research and get back to me with answers. Their ears perked up when I mentioned that the people who I represent are willing to give support to the Congressman, BUT we want some changes.

We are in the midst a grave societal breakdown which will end in the destruction of our culture as we know it, if we continue on the current course. As a society, we have most rapidly declined morally over the past half century. To me, the most important and socially destructive issue started with our pre-birth children being slaughter at the will of a ruling class. Now our school age children are being slaughtered before our very eyes and not only we can’t address the causes, but we can’t even investigate them. because it might offend the ruling class. What good is a society who cares more about pleasures and fulfillment than their young??

We need to work the political party who shows some signs of a potentially positive change. Unless we all just give up and listen to all the theories going around and just say “f***k- it all” and be content to just bitch and moan at our keyboards.

I don’t know if it was mentioned here but, under VAWA, there are some “must arrest” directives which, from what I learned, are pretty much random. Sort of a quota system, and guess who gets arrested. Also, at only the accusation of DV by a women, a man can be put in jail until the trial comes up, whether guilty or innocent. I also don’t know if you mentioned that the accuser (woman) gets taxpayer funded legal assistance, while the accused (man)is on his own.

The GOP has been somewhat at a loss as to what to do after losing to Obama, and may be testing to see if such actions would garner any support, since a lot of them are lame ducks and will experience no backlash from experimenting at this point.

You have just been handed an incredible opportunity to set things right when it didn’t seem like it could be possible before. Contact the Congressmen that voted no and thank them. Schumer and Gillerbrand are “some peices of work” don’t waste you time with them, but always vote against them anyway. All I know about Tonko is that he voted no to the House version of VAWA last year, which means that he favors the even worse Senate version. Contact his office, get a feel as to how Liberal etc he is. Does he ever vote with The GOP etc. and take it from there, but be careful, he’s a Democrat.

You can help people (friends relatives) in other districts and states etc If you are able donate money to the Party, do so.. Your money has political power anywhere. Although the topic here is Federal, The GOP is more than just Washington. You can help the party locally, statewide………You can influence people by keeping up with issues and how parties vote and inform people., as I described in an earlier post……………..

I don’t believe that failing to comply with a police officer’s order is sufficient justification for summary execution but that is the majority viewpoint in the USA. This has nothing to do with feminism or VAWA or anything but most Americans’ misplaced faith in the infallible judgement of police officers. If you run from the police and are shot as a result you will not get much sympathy. We’ve somehow arrived at a point where a man’s life is worth less than a cop’s feelings or composure (I felt threatened; I’m too small/fat/afraid/female to run the perp down and cuff him).

In the UK, you can be blind, suffering from the after-effects of a stroke and be tasered because the cop ‘thinks you have a samurai sword’ and when you have a white stick.

Also in the UK, a male was ridiculed for reporting DV to the local police until he was hospitalised as a result of being glassed by his (thankfully now ex-) wife. it was only when the trauma consultant insisted on making a report that it was found that the victim’s previous reports had not been recorded.

But the feminists will tell you that it is all one way, despite the facts saying that DV is gender symmetrical.

blind, suffering from the after-effects of a stroke and be tasered because the cop ‘thinks you have a samurai sword’ and when you have a white stick.

Cops in the UK and USA etc have essentially no limits against vast categories of untermensch, because voters, which are mostly affluent, midle aged or older, and mostly female, want undesirable untermensch to be taught a harsh lesson at every possible opportunity, and who cares if in making omelettes some eggs have to be broken.

In the UK I think that is called the “hang and flog” voter constituency, which is ever bigger, and wants ever rougher handling of whoever is the “nigger” of the day. Most males, not just poor or minority ones, are now considered “niggers” in most first-world countries. Or as Mr.Price has well said, men are considered disposable livestock. Thus to be put down or locked in a cage if there is the slightest doubt. Better safe then sorry.

will tell you that it is all one way, despite the facts saying that DV is gender symmetrical.

Actually most DV is initiated by women, for the obvious reasons of impunity and lack of self restraint against what is after all just a male:
http://www.the-spearhead.com/2012/09/12/women-at-least-as-likely-as-men-to-commit-dv/

But what women will tell you is that in every single case of DV initiated by women is caused by men and the victim is the woman, as either the target of the DV deserved it because she felt that he had abused or oppressed her, or the some other man or the patriarchy has abused or oppressed the victim to the point of warping her mind.

IIRC the Spearhead published an article where in the 19th century in Chicago a few dozen women were tried for allegedly murdering their husbands, and they were all acquitted by sympathetic *male* juries.

Doing a web search I found this typical story of the acquittal of a woman on the alleged attempted murder of her wealthy husband:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-32682/Wife-acquitted-trying-kill-husband.html

One of the most amusing details is that allegedly she tried to suffocate him in his sleep with a plastic bag: “She denied a violent struggle had taken place and said the bag was over his head for a matter of seconds.” Acquitted.

My question is, what if anything will happen to those who file for the I360 and self petitioning under VAWA? Will USCIS policy change? Thank you!

The wife may not care about her husband’s welfare, but she usually cares about herself and the kids. Make sure she knows that if she calls the cops on her husband, he’ll probably end up dead or in jail. Then she and the kids will lose their home and move into a welfare slum infested with rats, cockroaches, rapists, drug dealers, and child molesters.

If I was previously charged under VAWA and VAWA is no longer a law, will my name be taken out of the database?

Why do so many people in The Spearhead comment sections call women “women” or even “ladies”, but call men “males”? Isn’t this pretty misandristic?
