More Military Shenanigans

by W.F. Price on June 27, 2012

Elusive Wapiti wrote an article highlighting military moms in uniform breastfeeding in public. It’s accompanied by a “tasteful” picture of some children enjoying lunch courtesy of their mothers, who are wearing camo.

Well, who can say the women aren’t doing their job? The only problem is that they are wearing the wrong uniform.

BTW, is it sexual misconduct if an airman notices the tits and does a double-take?

It’s nonsense. They shouldn’t be lactating in the military. Are they single moms? Is that why they’re not staying at home to take care of their kids?

I do believe that there is a specific law in the military that forbids using the uniform of a soldier to further a political cause.

See, back in the days we used to be against propaganda, but any means necessary to spread the gospel of grrl power, right?

(blockquote)The story about Haynes was still online April 6, but the negative comments prompted the Air Force to take the story about Gamez off the Internet.

“The story was taken down because no one deserves that level of criticism for meritorious service in a combat zone,” said David Smith, a spokesman for Air Education and Training Command, under which Gamez falls.

Smith said he has never seen such “hateful rhetoric” during his 47-year career with the Air Force, of which 30 years were on active duty.

His advice to people who have written negative comments about Gamez is to read the criteria for the Bronze Star.

“Because that explicitly defines what it takes and she met the criteria in the eyes of her supervisors,” Smith said. “No one deserves that type of cyber bullying. That’s unfair, because Sgt. Gamez was doing her job, and you don’t bully people for doing their job.”

I don’t know which or if it is a little of both. I do know that it kinda freaked me out and made me a bit sad at the same time. Seeing women even pretend to care about men to that degree is so unusual and odd to me. Infact, that may be the first time I have ever seen such a thing.

Women’s rights groups and social policy makers also condemned the decision, but for the reason that it would have the effect of putting male and female circumcision on the same footing, when they were “in no way comparable”, said Katrin Altpeter, social minister in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Female circumcision she said, was a far more drastic act. It is already outlawed in Germany.

In Austria, the lay initiative Religion is a Private Matter, welcomed the Cologne decision, calling it “an important and long overdue change of direction”. Its chairman, Heinz Oberhummer, said: “Bodily harm is bodily harm and children cannot be excluded from benefitting from basic rights, and certainly not for religious reasons,” he said.

The World Health Organisation estimates that every third man is circumcised. Around 70% of them are Muslims, around 1% Jews. [/blockquote/]

Feminists at No Seriously What About Teh Menz are now not only trying to co-opt the MRM but they are now defending circumcision, not even infant circumcision (the article discusses muslim circumcision being done on a 4 yr old boy who had complications and had to go to the trauma ward), due to religious freedoms.

What hypocrites. I SERIOUSLY doubt they would defend much of anything on religious freedom grounds that had to do with women.

I seriously doubt they would be defending religious freedom on issues like birth control or abortion or sexual harassment or even simple things like men being priests and not women. But cutting off parts of a boys dick and sexuality, that’s a-OK to them.

The Chinese have women in their military. Here they are on parade:

Skip to 8:24 and 10:10 if all you want to see are the women. I do not know how they will do in combat, but based on a single incident I saw involving a woman Chinese cop shooting a hostage taker they may not do too badly at all.

Incidentally, the woman cop was laughing and joking with her male buddies after shooting the guy.

I noted at the time she did not hesitate in the slightest when she got the chance to make her move.

The hostage was unharmed, but I was under the impression from the number of rounds she put into the guy, she really did not give a fuck if she shot the female hostage either.

Where to start…females getting pregnant in the military is a huge scam. Consider that outside of the initial boot training, which for many Army MOS’s, Navy and AF (unfortunately increasingly even for the Marines) isn’t very difficult any longer, the system actually incents pregnancy. It’s all paid for, plus once the kid is born you get extra pay, move out of the barracks if you’re a non-rate, and you’re un-deployable! Get knocked up twice in a four year enlistment, if you time it right, you’ll serve some easy time…and get paid for it too. Four years later you have a family for free and off you go to the next gender quota job as a civilian. And you thought the military was for war and defense?

Somewhat related to boobs and breastfeeding: it looks like our friend Futrelle is having another difficult day. Today, he’s stumbling over correct pronoun usage in a debate with a transvestite critic. As a mangina who identifies with women, you can imagine this is a very serious issue to him.

Fortunately, he doesn’t have to be concerned with the ‘peripheral issues’ we discuss here like defense policy. That is, until he wakes up one morning to a Chinese tank parked in his front yard. Unless, of course, the female Chinese soldiers take him out and torture him, then he might enjoy that and be writing about how ‘America’s Changed for the Better.’ LOL

Your sample is what researchers call “statistically insignificant.” You are counting only what people with online access think about online polls.

Conservatives DOMINATE radio and online – because…that’s they only sphere they have left. They’ve retreated to it. In the outside world, Maobamaites and Pelosites hold sway. Elections are the ultimate poll.

I suspect others may disagree.

Of course. The majority Rules and must be accepted. That’s why everybody is satisfied about Obama’s election and today’s Supreme Court Rule.

The majority is always correct.

“In the outside world, Maobamaites and Pelosites hold sway. Elections are the ultimate poll.”

Not going to argue, indeed, I too think that barry is going to be re-elected. The numbers say everything. With estimates as high as 43% of people in the US on some form of direct payment from the government that’s a compelling voting base. But its not just the recipients who will vote…as government grows more ancillary industries are created to service it. Consider that the DOD supports scores of consultants and small/medium enterprises. All these people derive a hefty living, in some cases making 7 figures. How do you think they’ll vote? The issue is what drives these votes…one word dependency. Libertarianism, rugged individualism…our former Constitutional Republic was designed for different people. It was for people who wanted to go and live on their own terms…as free as you can get. That is the real conservatism. And, sadly, it has retreated, but don’t be mislead it’s not weak, going your own way is hard, many times thankless and it’s drudgery but it holds a level of satisfaction and achievement that people today can’t even conceive. It’s really not too hard to convince people, especially dull people, if you give them free stuff. The “retreat” of conservatism really isn’t anything to celebrate; we just devolved into mob rule. Reference the rise of feminism…1/2 the population is female, why wouldn’t they vote themselves more privilege?

“statistically insignificant” may indeed be a much better term when you consider the total number who responded online vs the total population of the US.

However, I consider it significant because approximately 1/3 responded negatively. I believe a few years ago that number would have been much lower, so I remain encouraged.

How these results would translate into the larger population I do not know. I am not aware of any studies, and so I have no opinion till I see a paper and get a look at how the sample was created. etc.

It takes money to do a poll, and integrity to frame the questions so that you get honest results, and even more in how the data is examined and collated.

We are all aware of dishonest feminist studies are we not? Looking at the survey questions and how the data is interpreted you can see how the books are cooked right from the get go.

As to domestic US politics, I do not believe I am qualified to discuss, though I do have opinions on your foreign policy.

I get the impression that you are feeling particularly discouraged today.

So at the risk of sprouting platitudes I would like to point out that Rome was neither built nor destroyed in a day.

It would be nice to see changes overnight, but we did not get into this current situation overnight either. The process started depended on whose opinion you agree with, anywhere from 40 to 100 years ago, or even more.

I am settled in for a long fight, and despite the recent ruling in Germany making male circumcision on infants a criminal offence, I really do not expect to see most of the changes I want to see, come to fruition within my lifetime.

You can try doing what I am doing right now. I am active in my community doing volunteer work, and doing outreach with two Christian groups, the Anglicans and the Jehovah’s Witnesses, despite being an Aethist myself.

I am also utilizing the online work done by others by sending them to sites like here at the Spearhead and A voice for Men.

I am not saying that you should do this yourself, but what I would suggest is that if you want to help the movement, assess what you think you can contribute, try it and then tell us what worked for you, or did not.

Just sharing your experiences for good or bad will help.

For example how are you making out over at Manboobz? What is your assesment of his audience?

EW, you are exactly right This is the only question that needs to be asked.

I had an argument about this photograph 2 weeks ago with my sister-in-law. First of all, an introduction:
A). She’s a woman
B) she’s from California
C) she’s a minority
D) she has been a college teacher for over twenty years
( get the picture of what I am dealing with?)

Anyway, her response to my irritation with the photo was, “Well, you have to just deal with it, because mothers have a WARRIOR MINDSET too”. (emphasis mine).

WTF? Warrior “mindset?” I cannot even have a conversation with her. She lives on another planet, devoid of reality, and without the first clue of the ugliness of combat. More importantly, she doesn’t WANT to know about combat–she only wants to advocate the social agenda at the expense of the Air Force.

If these were female Marines, they would be subject to regulations governing what they could and could not do while wearing the uniform. Wearing cammies, they were not allowed to go into a shop, hold their children, or walk around with an umbrella when it rained ( That last one is one of the most dumbest rule I’ve ever seen in the US military!).
So even if there were regulations on breastfeeding, I think common sense would dictate it is something done in private. Here in Australia, they make a big deal out of it, ot the point where sometimes you see it in public or in a restaurant. Thats when it becomes uncomfortable, and I usually ask such women to take it to a private place.
Common sense should rule here, and I don’t think its something to make that much of a big deal about, unless women force it.
BTW- imagine if the US Air Force went up against a well trained, well disciplined army of male bloodthirsty killers? Theyed rape these women 20 times, then slit their throats……

Yes. “Online” means lots of swpl data, but black kids don’t have laptops and hispanic kids don’t go online – nor do the adults in just those two groups alone. Lots of old folks of all races, either. It would give us much to learn if those groups WERE included, but the results would likely dismay us.

I get the impression that you are feeling particularly discouraged today.

No more so than usual lol. IF there were more people like YOU, I might feel more Encouraged. In all seriousness: The feeling is more like The Old Guard at Waterloo, or Custer at Little Big Horn. A Man’s Resolve toward the inevitable future.

We will never change any minds at manboobz. No matter how logical or polite we are; just as they, will never change any minds at Spearhead. So, it’s a waste of time. The battle lines are drawn: manboobz is only to torment and harass. It’s all it’s good for.
