Gatorade to Young Women: Don’t Try to be Feminine — Be Like a Lesbian!

The following ad has Abby Wambach making a predatory assessment of another female soccer player. The sexual overtones are hard to ignore, with the mannish Wambach leering at the exhausted, more attractive competitor:

Another commercial on Gatorade’s site suggests that girls must be kept “in the game” (playing sports) so that they don’t become whores by age 14.

Ironically, sports drinks, which contain a lot of sugar, are one of the leading causes of childhood obesity. So, apparently, Gatorade is promoting both lesbianism and fatness in America’s young women.

Way to go, Gatorade!
