In an attempt to bring Western-style feminism to India, some female Indian students have been organizing slutwalks to protest sexual assault in India. On Sunday, the first Indian slutwalk was held in Bhopal, but it was plagued with problems from the outset. First, the name didn’t sit too well with Indian women, who decided to change change it from “slutwalk” to “PrideStride.” Evidently, Indian women still have enough self-respect to refuse to associate themselves with sluts.
The next problem was the style of dress. Rather than the revealing, raunchy clothes sported by Western slutwalkers, the Indian women chose to dress conservatively rather than – in their words – “provocatively.”
Finally, the numbers and sex ratio were a disappointment to organizers:
The numbers, however, fell below expectations with organizers estimating that between 60-70 people turned up. “Yes, we were expecting more people…we were expecting at least 150 people,” said Radhika Shingwekar, the main organizer of Bhopal’s Slut Walk. Their Facebook page shows that about 450 people wanted to attend it.

It strikes me that the entire point of slutwalks, which in Western countries is to offend and provoke while occupying the moral high chair, was undermined in India, which is still apparently a traditional country.
The stark contrast between the slutwalks in the West and the Indian version lends some perspective to the movement. The Western phenomenon of women marching around baring as much flesh as possible and getting in people’s faces with it clearly indicates that women occupy a privileged position in society. They are free to be offensive and provocative while intimidating others into silence.
Contemporary feminist displays in the West show little – if any – restraint, and are no more than an exercise in social power and dominance. In countries where some balance remains, women eschew such naked displays of power and aggression.
In the West, and North America in particular, women have adopted a truly ugly, confrontational manner that consists of displaying their private parts to the world and declaring that there’s nothing anyone can do about it. When seen for what it is, it’s really quite shameful and a major embarrassment to our civilization.

These Slutwalks show me that women are drunk with their own sexual power and will continue to abuse it. Women use their sexuality as a way to control and hurt men. Bhopal – site of the Union Carbide spill – is a city with over three million inhabitants. The poor turn out is I must say an encouraging sign.
The failure of the women who did attend, to dress provocatively (showing a resistance to westernization) rather shows that the good people of Bhopal have not quite grasped the point of the march – the use of the word Pride also gives off from a western point of view a confused message – that this is not about portection from assault, but about tease: sexual bullying – like taunting a lion in a zoo when you know he has had his teeth removed. Rather interesting that this is from a country whose Cinema produces the most provocative displays from its actresses, such that I am not sure what to make of it.
It is also interesting to note (I say this as I am in the middle of reading a book about Facebook) that although on fb the walk has 450 supporters only just over ten per cent of those turned up – and that assumes, which may not be the case, that all those who attended, ‘liked’ the facebook page, which may not be the case as there is another big social network site in India – Orkut. Fb is not really representative of real life, I supect, and is just more posturing, and ideal for self-publicists like Rebecca Watson.

I checked up on Proverbs 7:10 immediately upon first reading of your contribution (Sedulous July 19, 2011 at 16:34). Its relevance to the reading I’m doing right now (on prostitution and the like as per the 1800s/early 1900s USA.
Proverbs 7:10-20 is of maintained relevance.
There are different levels of prostitute from the high level (good clothes, physically clean, good food, booze, young females, beautiful, low-throughput [the rate at which the prostitutes serviced men was the lowest]) to the low level (bad clothes, physically unclean, bad food, bad booze, old females, ugly, high-throughput–as a result, higher rates of vinerial infection and with broader ranges of such).
Notice that in the above-noted Scriptures that the wayward woman had colored spreads of Egyptian linen and she had perfumed her bed with myrrh, alloes and cinnamon. Notice that she clearly stated to the man that her husband was gone on a long trip and that he had taken a bag of money with him, aka, “You don’t have to worry about hubby beating you for your cooperation in my physical adultery and further, there’s no money here for you to steal.”
One pattern I have noticed repeated in the formation of Matriarchy is husband/father absenteeism. This explains how women got the vote in areas of greatest numeric domination of men (the West of USA in the late 1800s had even concenetrations of 90%+ men). The countryside however, as a whole, is more patriarchal (farming areas) BECAUSE THE HUSBAND IS LOCAL in doing his work. The city is more matriarchal BECAUSE THE HUSBAND IS REMOTE IN DOING HIS WORK.
As such, the combination of Western cities in the Western USA made for the earliest tendency to grant of the vote to women. The more local patriarchal East countryside tended to be the most resistance to such formal state Matriarchy.
The husband-gone-hunting as per Indian cultures was thusly quite foundational to Matriarchy as war was also (WWI men GONE to the front/women at home). And the frauenrichs of Scandinavia were founded on the remoteness of the marauding Scandinavian men. In my research as per prostitution, I noticed that in Vietnam, the female prostitutes charged black US servicemen twice the rate as the white US servicement.

Over here – I don’t know about America – we have a certain sort of themed party called ‘Vicars and Tarts Parties’. I have never been to one, so I can only tell of this from report – but one either dresses as a slut or as a member of a religious community. The women can therefore dress either as tarts or as Nuns, depending on their choice. I imagine there is a good sociological reason for the popularity of this type of party – and of course it enables the men to dress either as Vicars or as transvestites.

Atlanta Braves second baseman Brooks Conrad is an easy guy to root for. He didn’t get to play regularly in the majors until he was 30 and is finally making the most of that chance. Last year, his team made the playoffs and faced San Francisco; Brooks made three errors in one game and was enarly booed off the field.
Anyone who’s ever played sports knows what that feels like — nowhere to hide; you start doubting yourself; and unlike with us amateurs, in the majors you’ve got 50,000 screaming fans and an army of news reporters just itching to tear into you.

I’m going to skip the flashbacks and the references to his performance on the field and just quote his loving and devoted wife’s reaction to finding unfamiliar earrings in Brooks’ travel bag. Long, but stick with it:
The way Brooks Conrad remembers it, and honestly it was all moving a little fast at the time, the vaguely familiar earrings were in his wife’s hand, which was shaking from anger and fear and whatever else courses through a wife’s nervous system when she’s discovered another woman’s earrings in her husband’s travel bag.
Jessie, his darling Jessie, who’d tried so hard not to cry that afternoon when he’d lost his bearings and the baseball kept bouncing away and 53,000 people were booing and calling him a hack, her lip was quivering again and her eyes had narrowed and geez what a day this was turning into.
Maybe five minutes before, everybody in the house — Jessie, his parents, her parents, even the kids — were mostly tending to Brooks, which entailed some keep-yer-head-ups and a conscious effort to ignore the television and one earnest search for conversation topics that did not include baseball.
It’s amazing, Brooks thought, what a seemingly innocent hunt for toothpaste might turn up.
“Whose are these?” Jessie demanded.
“They’re not yours?” Brooks tried.
“I wouldn’t wear these,” she accused.
“Jessie,” he pleaded.

Brooks watched, helpless. He’d seen the earrings in his travel bag weeks before and figured they were Jessie’s. His mind, which had run hard all day, searched. Maybe a maid had dropped them in there when he was in Miami or New York or Philadelphia. Maybe they belonged to a teammate’s wife, and were carelessly tossed into his bag by a clubbie. Maybe, well, maybe what, he wondered. Jessie’d never buy it now.

Now they stood a few feet apart and Jessie was wondering if that’s where all the errors had come from, Brooks being distraught over cheating on her, crazy thoughts about what this meant for her, for them, the kids. Geez, she thought, what a day this was turning into.
“I don’t have an explanation,” he said. “It’s not what you think.”
“I believe you,” she said, with not enough conviction for Brooks.
“You shouldn’t believe me,” he said. “I mean, you shouldn’t have to.”
“We don’t need to worry about this right now,” she said. “You have other things … ”
“No,” he said. “This is the most important thing. Who cares about baseball?”

Now think about this for a minute, folks. In the middle of the playoffs, after the most disastrous game of her husband’s short career, his wife immediately jumps to the most awful conclusion she can come to — never considering much more probable scenarios like prankster teammates having fun with the new guy or even the honest mistake that the incident in fact turned out to be — , starts “quivering” with rage, puts herself and her husband through a sleepless night (during the playoffs! If there’s one time when you need to be well-rested and alert…)
If I were the manager of the Braves, I’d be giving this woman a tongue-lashing. This woman throws away years of trust in an instant and puts one of my players through a night of stress and impedes my ability to put the best possible team on the field because of something as trivial as this!?
This is the generation of wives we’ve raised, folks. Ready to leap out with false accusations and jump to the worst possible conclusions even when their husbands are at their most vulnerable and need support the most.
Perhaps managers should be ordering their players not to marry.
Oh, and the conclusion to the Conrad story comes the next morning:
And as for Jessie? After a horrible night in which she barely slept, she arose with the previous evening still on her mind. Brooks, who hadn’t slept either, listened to her leave the room.

He didn’t have to say a thing. He certainly didn’t owe the young McGraw anything.
Now the older McGraw, Dr. Phil, this week testified to congress at the VAWA hearings that domestic violence is the leading cause of female visits to the emergency room proving that Ms Magazine is his medical journal of choice for continuing medical education and SAVE testified it is 9th, motor vehicle accidents being the leading cause of female visits to the emergency room.
Quite the contrast Dr. Phil and Hugh Heffner.

TFH-you’re really going to have to develope, like most of the commenters here, a more analytical and sophisticated mind and not just accuse every female of trying to use some excuse to get out of a conviction. The only reason that the affair was even mentioned was because she was a subordinate working for the company and was taking orders from the boss(the one she had the affair with). And the boss who participated in the $50m scheme got LESS than she did.
They accused him of bullying her into getting illegal secrets from others while they carried on a 20-year affair that started when Chiesi was 22 years old and he was 40. Kurland was sentenced to two years and three months in prison after he pleaded guilty to insider trading charges.
Looks more like the JEWS as usual managed to pin most of the blame on her even though they made the money and she didn’t. I noticed Kurland address and it’s right near where Ivan Boesky lived back in the 80′s. Remember him? He was an insider trader and a JEW who made $500 million who also managed to rat on people lower down the ladder (stange isn’t it because you would think the FBI would go for the top) and get a lighten sentence. There are no cells there and only a chain link fence around the prison. And btw, I’m pretty sure that towards the end of his sentence he was getting weekend furloughs because I saw him around Bedford and it looked like he had grown a beard. I guess he remembered he was a jew so he could get special treatment and food lol
Now, let’s look at Martha Stewart (not a jew) she wasn’t even convicted of insider trading because of course she’s not an insider but for merely making a misstatement to the FBI. I guess she thought nothing of it and didn’t even have her lawyer there. She get’s sent not to nearby Danbury (she lives in Bedford too) but to some place in West Virginia!
So these females did not get off easy but the jews did. And in Stewart’s case it involved such a tiny amount of money that I would not even believe they’d bother with it. She had sold only $100k in stock which is like nothing because she learned the stock might go down. You’re probably talking here about losing $10-20k which is nothing compared to the millions she has.

Thinking about this story again, it really hits home just how damaging today’s culture of “empowered” women and false accusations is to productivity in general.
Immediately after Jessie is indirectly accusing her husband, Brooks is saying things like “This is the most important thing. Who cares about baseball?”
Imagine this scene repeated thousands of times in homes all across America: “Dropping everything to refute flimsy allegations that I’m not an adulterer is the most important thing. Who cares about (baseball / running my business that employs a dozen people / teaching the kids at my school / serving my country in the military / putting out fires / tending to my patients / etc. / etc.)?”

Here’s a good subtle example of what I mean by attacking the majority. The jew run NY Daily News had this little picture review of Jesus Sightings but as you can see that out of the 29 they only threw in one Hindu and one Muslim which I guess they did so as to not make it a 100% Christian bashing. And although I don’t care about religion myself it’s easy to see that this was intended to make Christians, the majority religion in the US (like 90%) look stupid and uneducated. We all know that Christian churches say all of this stuff is silly and that includes so called miracles etc In fact, the Catholic church discounts anything a person claims was a miracle and they don’t believe them at all (except for Jesus) but yet we always hear these stories about wacky people who think Jesus appeared on a cornflake etc. I’m sure that there are nutty jews around who think Moses or Rabbi Sneerson appeared on a matso but have you ever heard about any of them?

Very true, but I was thinking about this very same thing some time ago, and i’ve thought that in the end these old bitter women will spend all their energy and life to try to make men’s life miserable, by lobbying politicians to pass anti-male laws and such. So these old witches will still be making problems for us. We need a way to “deactivate” them. The problem is that many of them dont works or do light jobs, that leave them with plenty of time on their hands to plan the destruction of men’s lives. So the point is to keep these witches busy in some way, otherwise they’ll spend the days trying to devise ways to f**k us up.

Women can and do “provoke” male attention and must assume at least partial responsibility for how they conduct themselves what they wear in public. Feminism is an attempt to divorce a woman’s actions from the consequences of those actions.
The thing is, a woman can wear a t-shirt and jeans or a turtleneck and a modest length skirt and still “provoke” male attention. Or heck, a t-shirt and a pair of shorts on a hot day could do it. So to what extent should a female bare partial responsibility?

The slutwalk in India was a dud in terms of turnout, but the media and all the liberal pillars of the modern jungle did their best to publicise and support it.
You might think Indian women are not afflicted by feminism due to the turnout being poor and dresses not being slutty, but that’s misleading. Bhopal is a not a metro like Delhi or Mumbai, the smaller cities are still more conservative, and parents do wield some influence over children. Most of the support comes from the affluent women – the filthy rich ones and the upper-end middle class , the same ones found in malls and parlours , the same ones buying LV bags, Jimmy Choos and the usual fashionable junk. The richer (and hence more free/empowered) the women , the more un-conservative the dresses.
Indian women are often every bit as vicious , parasitic, vengeful gold-diggers as American black widows, do not be misled by the conservative dressing. Once the money comes, they’ll transform into the same vile despots in Toronto/NY/LA.
