Sexual Harassment Suit Backfires on California Woman

by W.F. Price on August 4, 2010

Alameda County, CA – Paralegal Allison Moreno brought a suit against Thomas Ostly, her former boss, alleging sexual harassment, but instead found herself severely chastised by the jury when she was found liable for defamation — to the tune of $1.55 million.

Ms. Moreno said that she had felt “pressured” to have sex with her boss, and then was fired when she refused to carry on with the relationship.

Mr. Ostly told a different story, saying that she nagged him about being overweight, billed him for time spent shopping online and fought with him at work when he pointed out a bad mistake she’d made. He also claimed that she had told coworkers at a place she worked part time that he was a sexual predator.

Personally, I think sleeping with one’s coworkers is idiocy these days, but it’s bound to happen in mixed sex workplaces. Mr. Ostly made a bad mistake, and his former employee tried to take advantage of it. Had this occurred ten years ago, I think she would have won.

However, things are changing, and a sexual harassment suit is no longer an automatic payout. Interestingly, the jury was comprised of ten women and two men, and the judge was female, which suggests that even women are starting to question the actions of the particularly vicious members of their sex. This suggests that on men’s issues sites such as The Spearhead, supportive women should not be antagonized strictly on account of their gender. We men may yet have female allies out there, and for some of us – Thomas Ostly for example – that could make a big difference.

Yet the sex harassment payoff industry continues unabated.

Tabloid claims for huge cash prizes on sex accusations surface with monotonous frequency.

It is every American woman’s birthright.

Actually, since the jury was mostly women it makes perfect sense as they can see right through another woman’s BS.

Sexcapades with workplace females instantly destroys a man’s power, and in today’s feminized workplace that is a big mistake. Seek your jollies outside of work where there is no employment cost to scorn, rejection, and end-game meltdowns. Do not pay any attention to workplace females. Period. If you are single learn to dance and you cup will run over. You will see workplace women for the dolled-up cows that they are. If you are married squelch it. Go to a titty bar if you must, just ignore workplace women.

That’s a golden rule that will cost you a lot if you ignore it.

At work, I used to see people as “work units”, not people. That makes it easier.

Sexual harrasement is out of vogue. It’s run its course.
The big money is now in “equal pay” class action suits.
That’s what has HR department’s attention today.
The most recent (publicized) big ones:

Wal Mart
Novartis

Gather enough disgruntled women under a powerful law firm and you’re looking at HUGE expenses.

The woman in this report thought she had played her cards right, she was wrong. Remember Kobe Bryant? Lots of men considred him to be an alpha male. Remember the members of the Duke lacrosse team who were victimized by a false rape accuser? All of them thought they had played their cards right, they were also wrong. It almost cost them their lives and more. They have been cleared but, they were endangered by liars.

Even a zilli0naire can become the victim of a false accusation and be harmed.

Back in the 1980s’ it became fashionable for women ,and girls, to accuse a male of sexual harassment at whim. Many of them managed to destroy men’s lives and their marriages. It became a chief instrument, as has accusations of rape, sexual assault and/or any accusation indicating the female is/was va victim of real/imagined violence or real/imagined violence by proxy.

Kobe ended up spending some serious cash to keep his wife from divorcing him (probably realized that it would be cheaper to do that as opposed to what he’d have to pay in a divorce settlement, and I’m fairly sure they had no prenup at the time of their marriage…) plus whatever the undisclosed settlement amount he had to pay to the hotel employee that accused him of rape after they had sex while he was staying there. After that we haven’t heard of any other incidents, perhaps his lawyers have him get a signed waiver from a woman prior to sleeping with her.

As for the female majority seen in the jury and also the presence of a female judge; not surprising they ruled against the woman and then found her liable for defamation, a lot of women recognize that if they don’t shut down bs claims by one of their own it affects all women negatively. Now if we could just get more women to get propaganda-style with the message that false rape accusations are not ok, maybe put some teeth behind it for good measure – we might be able to get shit under control.

Females do not have a natural sense of justice or morality. The reason that the females on juries are changing is because these lawsuits are effecting their husbands, fathers, sons etc and will effect them financially just like high child support payments and property loss effect the new wife (these guys never learn lol)
I wouldn’t count on any female as an ally.

I remeber reading about a case where a seventeen year old girl had accused an adult male of raping her. During the interview, the young woman cracked jokes, played with her hair and, played with her cell phone. She couldn’t keep her story straight. At the trial she couldn’t keep her story straight. The judge, who was a grandmother, stopped the young woman in the middle of the trial and said; ” I do not find you credible”. The judge gave her an ultimatum; tell the truth or else. the girl admitted she made the whole thing up. The judge was visibly angry and outraged and called for a one hour recess. During the recess, the judge loudly expressed her anger and her ourage at how the girl misused law enforcement and the law itself. When the trial resumed, the jury, composed of mostly women, returned a verdict of
not guilty for the man the girl had accused. The judge ordered the girl to be taken into custody on the spot. the MSM did not report anything as to wether the state saught a conviction against the girl or not.

There are a vast number of crimes that women and girls can accuse a male of and ruin /destroy the man’s/boy’s life. Rape is the most serious crime either can falsely accuse a male of commtting against them. It , in seriousness, falls just below murder.

Truth, justice, fairness and yes, even equality, are not gender dependant. There are triuwe women out there. Far too often we have MRAs taking an automatic stance against even the most staunchly men-supportive women.

And so we get statements like this :- Females do not have a natural sense of justice or morality. Gordon Bennett !

Yes, Amfortas.. Disgraceful.

She’ll never get 37 mill..

Gold digging bitch and opportunistic lawyers, not a good mix.

Mark McIness admitted he made a mistake.. He did the honourable??? thing and resigned.

Look, he put the hard word on her. She refused. No harm done….. Shakes head.

“That is not to say that Mark McInnes, 45, wasn’t a sleaze who got away with much more than he should have in the way of predatory, overbearing behaviour towards female underlings. And that’s not to say the David Jones’ board should not have known of the CEO’s proclivities, even if it didn’t know of specific sexual harassment, as it has said. If even half of what is in Fraser-Kirk’s statement of claim is true, McInnes deserves everything he got.

But that is the point. He lost his job, got a comparatively paltry pay-off, became a national joke and had to leave the country in disgrace. DJs has taken a hit to its reputation, and its share price. It is now the butt of jokes. Why the need for a $37 million lawsuit, even if Fraser-Kirk plans to give any punitive damages to charity? Enormous lawsuits are the bane of our lives, feathering the slick corporate nests of the burgeoning law firms in this city, increasing costs of insurance, ruining community activities.

The worst Fraser-Kirk alleges of McInnes would have distressed most women but it should not ruin her life – unless she dwells on it.

According to her statement of claim, at a lunch in May, McInnes, “placed his hand under her clothing to the point where it touched her bra strap”. He repeatedly asked her to come to his Bondi home “with the clear implication that such a visit would be for the purpose of sexual intercourse”. He “grabbed her in a hug which lifted her off the ground”.

At a cosmetics function in Rose Bay, he “attempted to kiss [her] on the mouth while putting his arm around [her] waist”. He then placed “his hand on Fraser-Kirk’s stomach before moving it under her clothes so that his hand reached the bottom of [her] bra while [she] was pulling away from his unwelcome touch and turning her head to the left so that he could not kiss her on the mouth”.

Unpleasant, affronting, and unforgivable though McInnes’s alleged behaviour was, this is the worst of her complaints. Is it worth $37 million?”

http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/society-and-culture/nobody-died-so-why-is-she-demanding-a-kings-ransom-20100804-11fid.html?autostart=1

Nonesense like this, just trivializes genuine instances of rape and abuse.
Not to mention the harm done to McIness and his family.

Recently, I noticed that a woman posted on my blog. She was not being argumentative or anything else.

I looked into her profile, she was an anti-feminist – and I liked her blog.

An anonymous poster responded to her, calling her a feminist and some other names…

These kinds of incidents are not isolated to my blog – I see them everywhere.

I have to wonder about the people who are “overly eager” to jump down a woman’s throat for posting on these blogs…

when feminists use the word ally to refer to feminist ‘men’, it is fitting. To them, it is a gender war for female supremacy. Men are never.. can never be part of their army of women, but are a part of another ‘country’s army.
Never truly on the same team, never truly one of their own. Always apart. Separate. To be watched with vigilance.

Whereas with we antifeminists whether the Equalatist, the Masculinist or Men’s Righter. To us, the Antifeminist Women are not our allies. Never truly on the same team, never truly one of our own. Always apart..separate, to be watched with vigilance.

The reason why the female jurors turned against this vindictive bitch is because this evil behavior is starting to bite ALL women in the ass.

Women are finally beginning to react against the rampant anti-male establishment because the men are becoming increasingly hostile towards them. Deep down, women know that if the men are enraged enough, the gravy train they’ve been riding on will derail.

Women are no longer in a position to simply shrug their shoulders as they watch one of their own sisters destroy yet another innocent male because men are waking up.

This is a good start and it does give me hope, but it’s not enough. We need to see MORE women who are willing to scrutinize these false accusers and call them on their bullshit, or this will only be another flash in the pan.

A snake is a snake is a snake. When the rubber meets the road women can not be trusted. They’ve only proven this fact for thousands of years. Men constantly hop into bed with snakes and when the snake bites them they insist that the snake can be rehabilitated into a lamb. The woman in this DV story is the real typical American woman, not the occasional altruistic female MRA. Men simply refuse to open their eyes concerning women.

Men are hard-wired to please women at all costs. Women are hardwired to please themselves only, use a man for all he’s worth, then discard him for the next best thing. I can tolerate women in the MRM. God knows they’ve infiltrated everything else. But I sure as hell don’t have to trust them. My views are not misogynistic. They’re realistic because women consistently prove themselves unstable and unreliable.

The problem is this though it does not matter in the west whether the female is honorable or not. The laws the men fall under are not honorable.
Therefore all men and all woman fall under the same conditions no matter what they say. The only way for a man to beat the system and live free is to be noble.

One huge problem with women in the MRM is that they turn everything they join into a girl’s club. It’s bad enough that they already have their exclusive girl’s clubs, and that they’ve infiltrated all the former boy’s clubs. But they also want to hijack the MRM. The one movement that could possibly free men. Did I mention that women are now the majority in the work force and that they dominate the men in their lives? Women are not team players. They are usurpers.

Harrytoo, I know you’re and gentleman and don’t want to step on any toes. but remember all’s fair in war. There are a multitude of things wrong with having women in the MRM:

1.Women are usurpers. I can see the the future headline “First woman president of the MRA.”

2.Women do not have an off switch. They never reach a point and stop. They are hard-wired to dominate everything. Especially men.

3.Women are naturally deceitful. They only deal in truth when it works for them. Look at how they duped us with their bogus “we only want equal rights” lie. When all along they sought supremacy and subjugation of men.

4.Women have turned the MRM into a dysfunctional and chaotic social club. You can’t even speak without the PC Police jumping down your throat. Just look at the mess Nicole made of the Behemoth Beauty Pageant thread that follows this one.

5.Women simply don’t care about men. So to prove themselves they should submit to tests administered by us men. Men still have to work for a living so this couldn’t possibly apply to them. But women have choices, leisure time and money. Women are far better organizers than men. So why aren’t women out in front of court houses protesting feminist family court judges or demanding justice for men who are falsely accused of God only knows what? Because women don’t care about men. They’re too busy shaking men down. But let someone seriously threaten to modify Roe V Wade and women will hit the streets en masse to protest. This proves that the “right” to slaughter your baby in the womb is far more important than the well being of men.

6.Women have ulterior motives. They pay lip service to equality but they are fully determined to maintain the feminist status quo. I could see a woman in a position of power in the MRM sabotaging men just as we are poised to reach a milestone. Deep down women don’t want to see the MRM succeed.

7.We live in an unnatural, female dominated world. Women have a place and they should get back to it. I’ve overdosed on women. Everywhere you look it’s female. If I wasn’t a man I wouldn’t know that men exist. And women will never be satisfied with their gains. They’re like black holes that can never be satisfied.

8.It’s absurd and unprecedented that men would seek the counsel of women in matters of war. By bending women over backwards to accommodate women, men have single handedly rendered themselves obsolete.

9.Women stole all our rights and now we recruit them to help us retrieve them. Utterly absurd.

10.It’s called the men’s rights movement for a reason. We shouldn’t need or even want female input. They can run off together and create a women for men’s right group but just leave us alone. We need at least one boys club that is free from women.

WOMEN DO NOT BELONG IN THE MRM!

@Mac: Perhaps those more active than myself to the MRM should listen to the opinions of males themselves then. I for one am always interested in the views of men, even when I don’t fully agree with them, I’m still far more likely to find common ground with a man. Like I said, I somewhat agree with you.

”1.Women are usurpers.” Said the same myself. Most of your points are valid, especially where PC is concerned. Political correctness is the refuge of feminists, they couldn’t function without it. If for no other reason, men should be allowed to speak unhindered BECAUSE we’ll say what we please, even if we worry another man might be upset by it, he’ll get over it, he’s a man.

Women for the MRM group, there’s a thought, it would show they’re for real at least, not just moles. Perhaps even lend REAL weight to the MRM (in today’s social climate) .

*Wonders if the ‘women’ of the MRM are that committed*

Well welmer,

I agree with you. Sleeping with co-workers is indeed pure idiocy. Considering that there are number of things that would get a man in hot water.

I have this to share, never trust a co-worker. Even if it’s another man. A co-worker is just a colleague not your friend. The person with betray you in a heartbeat.

After the reading the articles, it reminds me that anything can go wrong.

Well Mac, it seems that keep the spirit of discontentment. Never trust a woman to run anything, Unless she tears everything down around her.

Harrytoo, I hope that I clarified that the Women For Men’s Rights idea is something that is completely separate from the MRM. That way the men can be isolated and able to be more effective and the women can be doing something constructive while staying out of our hair. Really, it’s not natural for women to be involved in virtually everything. Dominant women can only lead to chaos.

WOMEN DO NOT BELONG IN THE MRM!

@Mac: You did, I think it’s a good idea, if nothing else it would show their actual commitment, or not.

@ Mac

Well women are everywhere. This site is like an all male bar that had opened its door to women.

Personally women shouldn’t meddle with affairs where men are at. Women should be kept separate.

”Women shall no longer have the right to define male sexuality.”

MacArthur Of The MRM when you impose that all woman think like that regardless of what they say, It is doubtful that they will respect you or see a reason to defend such a person that makes such claims.

Harry, you sent me here.

“This suggests that on men’s issues sites such as The Spearhead, supportive women should not be antagonized strictly on account of their gender.”

Rational statements that are productive and less emotive and crass however have merrit to be backed.

If males simply slander females, take no responsibilty for their own actions, and point the finger at females.

How is that any different to feminism?

Which i am against BTW, at least what it is now.

When men fight back and repair the balance it will because of rational and points with backing like the articles from this website, not fiction aimed to discredit us.
