Debrahlee Lorenzana, a 33-year-old single mother, was fired from Citibank after refusing to follow dress guidelines that restricted her from wearing clothing designed to show off her breasts and buttocks. Ms. Lorenzana, who is Puerto Rican, said: “I was raised very Latin. We’re feminine.”

And, in Latin countries, men aren’t fired or sued for making remarks about a woman’s figure…

Jack Tuckner, Ms. Lorenzana’s attorney, brings an element of shame to the dispute, suggesting that there must be something wrong with men when they notice a woman flaunting her sexuality:

It’s like saying that we can’t think anymore because our penises are standing up – and we cannot think about you except in a sexual manner – and we can’t look at you without wanting to have sexual intercourse with you.

Mr. Tuckner’s personal reaction to Ms. Lorenzana’s provocative dress is unknown, but he staged a photo shoot – in which he personally acted as the cameraman – for “evidence” in the lawsuit.
