(This post is the result of this post on my blog about hypnosis and a follow up post on the same subject.)
I find debating feminists to be a waste of time usually. It’s like fighting the Iran-Iraq War from the perspective of Iran or Iraq. A lot of time and energy gets wasted with no real results at the end. Feminists aren’t going to listen to our logic and reason, and we are not going to obey feminist insanity. Denise Romano is a primary example of this. It’s a waste of time to debate a known spammer and someone who says outright lies such as, “MRA blogs that enthusiastically incite rape and celebrate rape as a mens’ right”.
Another problem with debating feminists is accidentally conceding points because you’re busy making an argument about something else. Most of debate with Denise Romano is about whether moral or ethical issues of game. No one was asking the question of is everything that Denise Romano claiming even possible. This is important because Denise Romano is claiming that there are PUAs using hypnosis to get women to have sex with them. Hypnosis can’t be used to get someone to have sex with you (unless they already want to have sex with you in which case it’s redundant). It simply will not work.
Hypnosis requires three things to happen:
- The subject must WANT to be hypnotized.
- The subject must BELIEVE he or she can be hypnotized.
- The subject must eventually feel comfortable and relaxed.
If you don’t want to be hypnotized, you can’t be hypnotized. This means that hypnosis can not be used as a seduction technique ever. The only case where it would work is when a person has already been seduced in which case there is no point in using hypnosis because it would be redundant and a waste of time. Denise Romano is claiming that there are men out there that can forcibly hypnotize women against their will despite the fact that this is impossible.
Clearly, forced hypnosis is impossible. If it was possible, a few guys trying to get laid would be the least of anyone’s problems. We would see murderers who would instead hypnotize their victims into killing themselves, criminals who would rob people and banks by forced hypnosis to make people want to hand over their money, governments using forced hypnosis to gather intelligence, etc. None of this is happening, and this is what the world would look like if Denise Romano was actually correct.
Since I banned her from my blog for being a spammer, Denise Romano responded to my first post on her blog. Most of her response had nothing to do with anything I said, but Denise Romano claimed that “hypnosis professionals” agreed with her, and this was documented on Lady Raine’s blog. If this was really the case, why is it only on LR’s blog and why was there no link to these “hypnosis professionals”? We can figure out the answer to that, but I did a google search for the word hypnosis on LR’s blog. I found no links to “hypnosis professionals”. In fact, I only found three minimally relevant links. The first was to some nut job who makes the same claim as Denise Romano but without any actual evidence. That link also contains nonsense statements like, “but actually 7080% of us are receptive to some hypnotic suggestions”. The second was a link to an anti-scientology website which had to do with people who voluntarily underwent hypnosis. The third was a link to someone trying to sell a system using hypnosis so you can get laid. Again, there is no proof that it works. There are plenty of websites out there that claim to have products that will enlarge your penis, and they don’t work either so vigorous claims don’t mean anything.
Even “hypnosis professionals” can be very questionable. A few years ago, Penn & Teller on their Bullshit! show on the Showtime channel did an episode on hypnosis (which you can watch here). They showed how hypnosis is very problematic in terms of how well it works even when its voluntary. Even when people want to be hypnotized to stop smoking or lose weight, it only works when that person was highly motivated beforehand. Penn & Teller also talked to a “hypnosis professional” who claimed among other things that hypnosis could make your penis bigger, and she had a hypnosis tape to do that. Knowing that even talking to “hypnosis professionals” may not tell you the truth about hypnosis.
The fact is that it’s impossible to force a hypnotic state on anyone. You can’t hypnotize anyone against their will. Denise Romano when she claims otherwise against the body of scientific evidence about hypnosis is claiming men have found a way to perform the impossible. In essence, she is trying to start a moral panic which tells you everything you need to know about her.

Possible typo, or did they really claim 7080%? (It’s over 9000!!!):
I’ve directly called out Denise Romano several times, and each time she chose to remain intellectually dishonest and evasive. Until she is ready to discuss these important manners in an honest and straightforward manner (note I don’t require that she "agree" with me, but only that she abide by proper debate etiquette), I will be ignoring her completely. I resubmit my comments to her for our reading audience to evaluate; I suggest more people ignore her until she behaves like any civil intellectual should.
Oh my god, THANK YOU for pointing out this strawman! Some forums where I’m open about being a PUA, I get attacked and, to listen to my critics, you’d think I had some kind of voodoo black magic mind control power! People who *pride* themselves on being rational/cynical/scientific will type thousands of words about the moral and ethical problems surrounding fuckin’ mind control!
Honesty is definitely not their strong point…LR says that MRAs condone even murder. If her reading comprehension is that bad she shouldn’t be voting or driving
and if it’s not, then she’s a consummate liar.
If I stare really hard at the whole set. My super mind controlling powers guide them all to my house naked. Even th we gotta go girl is there. Damn Denise exposed me. I’ll never get laid again
I can’t see mind control being a big problem for Dense Denise MD, PhD, UNHCR.
We may laugh at Denise Romano’s ridiculous claims of mind control, but she is mostly right about the legal definition of rape. Feminist rape law reform has been a complete success, and I am glad she is spamming the legal evidence of this everywhere because hopefully education about rape reform will turn more men against feminism and destroy most of the sympathy supposed rape victims are getting as well as the stigma attached to being a rapist. I for one am proud to be a rapist under current laws.
Feminists have succeeded in defining much of normal male sexuality and, bizarrely, even some female sexuality, as rape, and then they expect us to continue to regard it as a serious crime. I don’t think that can work in the long run. I think Denise is actually being a useful idiot for us, the MRAs here, when she helpfully points out that PUAs are rapists. I want it to sink in how rape is defined these days because anyone remotely like me will react with rage and profound anti-feminist hatred rather than realize the error of his ways and quit trying to seduce women like she apparently thinks.
It does not take hypnosis for false rape allegations to work. Denise is a fool, but she is dangerous because her ideology is backed by the violence of the state.
“Denise Romano Claims…”
A woman claimed something…???
Move along…nothing to see here….
Women like LR and DR are just lying hypocritical bitches. That OTHER women are so stupid as to believe them is THEIR problem.
“Feminists aren’t going to listen to our logic and reason”
Just about sums it up.
@ProMale
“I find debating feminists to be a waste of time usually.”
Not usually, ALWAYS.
LOL!
It is absolutely pointless.
The only benefit is when it allows others to see just how dishonest, deluded, malicious and emptyheaded most feminists tend to be.
double post. Was trying to add this to the comments, not the forum.
Absolutely agree, Harry.
When there is an audience which does not self-define as feminist, you should exploit the situation. It’s easy enough to get them to say insanely radical (hateful) things, and if you remain calm and rational, the audience is swayed to your side.
See, for instance, Marc Rudov.
This is standard feminist arguing tactics. They make wild claims and accusations with little or no supporting evidence aside from those who think like they do. Attention feminists: Unsupported claims do not back up other unsupported claims! This is similar to how Carrol Gillam’s research about girls being shortchanged in schools and their “loss of voice” crap that lead to the overly PC world we live in now. To this day nobody has seen the research she did because she refuses to release it or claims she lost it. In short, nearly ever claim feminists have used to forward their agendas has failed to meet public scrutiny. The problem is they are good lobbyists and get their ideology forced into public policy before it can be dismissed as complete hogwash, which history has show to be the case more often than not wrt DV, rape, Game, wage gap myth (since the 90s), etc.
Oh, and Denise, if you’re reading this …
You WILL succumb to my seduction techniques
Rape should be reported immediately, with a mandatory DNA test. After 24 hours no accusations of rape will be entertained. This will prevent the ‘consensual hookup but he didn’t call the following day as promised so I taught him a lesson by reporting that he raped me, tee-hee’, or the ‘After the consensual hookup, I need to maintain my chaste image in front of friends and relatives, so I pre-emptively accused him of rape’ scenarios which ruin an innocent man’s life.
A woman who falsely claim rape should be severely punished. She’s wasting police resources just like a prankster calling 911. And in the event she really gets raped in future, no one should lay a finger to assist. The bitch who falsely accuse a man of rape will end up like the boy who cried wolf. That’s justice.
Eh … how do you get comments to appear on the forum AND on the main site? I posted on the main site and they only appeared on the forum.

I think there might sometimes be a short lag, because the cache doesn’t automatically refresh after each comment.
Yes, if you check this link it actually does say “7080%”.
Another thing worth pointing out: a person who has been hypnotized CANNOT be persuaded to do something that they would not have done in a non-hypnotized state. In other words, you can’t hyptonize a law-abiding person into breaking the law.
I’ve never been hypnotized, but I have taken Ambien, a drug classified as a “hypnotic.” While under the influence, I apparently did some things that I had no memory of doing afterwards, but they were all things that I would have done anyway.
As fun as bashing Denise Romano is, it’s obvious to me that "7080%" is a typo intended to be "70-80%".
Their goal in making these outlandish claims is to put MRAs and PUAs on the defensive.
You’re advocating rape!
No we dont advocate rape
yes you do
no we’re…….
you’re hypnotists
No we’re not hypnotists.
yes you are
no we’re…….
Its a time wasting strategy and casts an aura of guilt on MRAs as to even acknowledge these claims is to give them credibility.
They’re both headcases and should be ignored.
Denise Romano is scared shitless by Game and PUA. Her abject terror is because, deep down, she knows that women are foolish and weak and are easily influenced by men who know the methods and techniques to make themselves look more sexually desirable to women.
The real fear she holds, however, is that women will find themselves being easily seduced by faux alphas.
Ms Romano is a walking, talking advertisement for the benefits of PUA and I hope her efforts yield thousands more men learning Game.
The thing is :
1) Women have no way of determining who was ‘naturally charming’ vs. who learned the skills through practice and sharing their information online. So it is impossible for women to detect who is running competent Game and who isn’t.
2) Why does Denise Romano think that men with Game would have any interest in her? If Roissy puts up a poll where you can vote on her looks, she would get a 5 at best – well below the minimum requirement.
By my count, this is article number 5 that The Spearhead has dedicated to this liar. Why don’t you guys just give her a weekly column where she can put forth her ideas?
Why don’t you get it? These people do not operate on logic. They can not be persuaded into a pro-MGTOW point of view. Their whole life’s work, professionally and personally, is vested in this man-hating perspective. Paying attention to them only empowers them and confirms the impression that they are something to be taken seriously. CUT IT OUT ALREADY!
Romano is just a voice for what other shrews think, they use the letters after her name for a kind of validity. The problem they have is that the “faux alphas” will not grovel for average women because they have other options. Most women feel superior to men they consider beta, but game questions female authority, and that is what bothers women.
Game also messes with a woman’s timeline. If a man who was often rejected learns game, then he is less likely to marry the single mother and be her backup plan.
I agree that writing about her is useless EXCEPT for the educational purpose of showing new guys how a supposedly ‘educated’ woman is quite opposed to his interests, and isn’t really all that bright.
But there is no reason to communicate WITH her at all.
I’m with Zeta. I don’t think there is anything positive to be gained from continuing to refer to anything this dimwit of a woman thinks, says. or writes. It simply ends up giving idiots like this way more exposure than they deserve or would ever get otherwise. For example, look at that Weekly Standard piece that is linked in the “Back to the Future” article here on the Spearhead. Along with Roissy, the article mentions Lady Painintheass. Roissy just couldn’t restrain from harping on about her, which led to her alleged exposure of his true identity, which led to the writer of the article thinking it sufficiently noteworthy to put in her article. Can you imagine how much more traffic Lady Painintheass is going to get now? Soon, she’ll be on “The View”, then on Oprah’s show, and will then be considered a credible source by the rest of the liberal mainstream media, and will become the next Arianna Huffington, pumping out lie after lie on yet another liberal blog that all of the mainstream media will then take as gospel truth and simply regurgitate word for word on the evening news.
PMAFT,
I enjoy your articles and blog. But, I must go with what some of the others have mentioned here, and say that this kook is getting far too much validation in terms of being mentioned.
Anyhow, thanks for all the good writing you do …..
Denise Romano runs a business in direct competition with PUAs.
She wants to blacken her rivals, that’s all. If she would name any PUAs she could be sued for libel, and this is why she is so careful not to name any.
Someone with more knowledge about US laws should look into it, maybe she can be sued right now.
Google "Denise Romano" and check the 2nd result in "Images"…
Denise Romano is an idiot.
She believes that because she has been in a string of failed relationships with men – that somehow qualifies her to give advice to men on how to conduct themselves on the dating/relationship scene…
Why even acknowledge that she exists?
Sometimes it’s just sheer fun to attack someone that presents such an easy target.
Whaddaya mean? Not only can you hypnotize someone to have sex, you can hypnotize them to mutilate themselves. Didn’t you ever see "The Hypnotic Eye"? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntFn59uIxvA I dun seen it in da movies, so it must be true.
Oh, wait, in that case, it was the hypnotist’s gal who was doing the hypnotizing because she was jealous of their knock ‘em dead good looks. So you get them to put their face in a fan, use a razor blade as an eyeliner brush, etc.
If forced hypnosis worked, I could orgasm without touching myself. Suffice to say, I was very motivated.
…Yeah, no dice.
