It’s funny. I grew up as the “white knight”. I was taught to respect everyone, regardless of gender. I was taught that you don’t hit girls, especially. And my mom is pretty great. Something to keep in mind, she was in her 20′s and 30′s during the 60′s and 70′s, so she certainly could have been caught up in the feminist mindset. But instead of demanding equality, she went out and earned it. She didn’t demand special treatment, and worked her ass off to make a good life next to my dad. They are great parents.
