Imagine an incident in which the police rolled up, found a woman lying down in a semi-conscious state with facial injuries, and saw her husband standing over her prone body wielding a golf club. Then imagine the husband said he had just saved her by smashing out the rear window of her car with a golf club after she had bumped into a fire hydrant in the driveway and dragging her out of the vehicle.
You think a cop would buy that? I’m not sure, but it certainly seems as though that’s the gist of the story concerning the Tiger Woods incident, except in this case it was the wife with the club, and the husband injured and bleeding on the ground.
Given the rumors of infidelity surrounding Tiger Woods, one might be inclined to doubt the official version of the story, i.e. the wife’s version. One might also think that people learned a thing or two following the murder suicide committed by Steve McNair’s girlfriend. And how about Arturo Gatti’s wife, who strangled him with a purse strap after clubbing him on the head? Enraged women can assault, and even kill, male athletes.
Celebrity news outlet TMZ reports that Tiger Woods has told a friend that his facial injuries were caused by his wife:
I’m not sure how reliable TMZ is, but their version certainly seems a lot more plausible than the heroic wife dragging her injured husband out through the back window of his SUV reported by People.
Elin Nordegren, Tiger’s wife, is a Swedish bikini model who landed one of the world’s wealthiest athletes. She really lucked out, and no matter what happens she is guaranteed to get more out of hooking Tiger than anything she could ever have achieved on her own. The risks athletes take in getting married these days are massive, especially when they hook up with professional skanks like Nordegren. It seems that in addition to being taken to the cleaners in a divorce, athletes now also run the risk of becoming victims of spousal abuse. Can anything go wrong for a woman in marriage when, with impunity, she can not only threaten a husband with financial ruin, but with an attack with a deadly weapon as well?

They’ll have to split their marital assets 50/50. But he may luck out on alimony since she assaulted him depending on how good the investigation is. Of course he may have raised his voice to her at some point in their 5 year marriage which in California is called “verbal abuse”, but only if you are a man.
Ideally they’d have samples under her fingernails to see if there’s his skin on it and an ENT would be able to tell if a golf club matched up with his head wounds. But since the cops are biased against men, they still have not put her in custody or subjected her to a forensic investigation. I know of a man who did this with no priors and got 26 months.

If true, isn’t it amazing a classic alpha worth $1 billion still cannot keep a woman 100% happy. I guess she needs more, or maybe he’s just playing too much golf…oh wait….THAT’S HIS JOB!

His wife is a very pretty woman. That is a bad picture of her Welmer. her jaw looks more chiseled than her husbands. LOL maybe that was your intention.
She won’t get dragged thru the mudd like Chris Brown because:
1. She is a woman
2. She is a very good-looking blond haired light eyed(?) woman.
good looking woman have it easier in the justice system just as they do in the bar.
BTW, chic noir does not condone domestic violence from either gender although there are situations where I can understand why things get out of hand.

Again, I have to ask about why MRAs are so ineffective.
The spokesmen abound : From Tiger Woods to Mel Gibson to Hulk Hogan to Lionel Richie. Proper leadership could draft these men as advocates against unfair divorce lawas, unfair VAWA laws, etc.
But no…. it won’t happen.

This reminded me of Golf in general & Vijay Singh in particular.
Anyone remember a couple of years back when he made the comment that Annika Sorenstam doesn’t belong in the PGA he got criticized by the manginas & feminists in the Western media for saying that even though she only got invited because she was a woman.
They went on & on about how patriarchal Indian culture supposedly explained his “chauvunistic” comment even though he was a Fijian, a descendant of indentured labourers from India sent there by the British.
Coming to this topic, most likely she will get away with a slap on the wrist. I think Woods will get screwed in the inevitable divorce & hopefully that makes him stay away from marriage for good.

I remember reading somewhere that Tiger grew up in an incredibly strict household, and did not have much experience with women until this wench got her claws into him. Not suprising to me that once he got a few years of supermodel ‘gina he saw past the looks to what she was like inside. Maybe this will make some of the golf addict corporate titans reconsider their promotion of bad female behavior. But probably not.

I agree with Chic Noir in that I don’t condone domestic violence…but as Chris Rock said, “there’s a reason to kick an old man down a flight of stairs, ya’ just don’t do it!” My question is when, if ever, is it okay for a man to beat up a woman? Obviously if they are threatening your life then self defense is justified. But what about non-life threatening situations?
Here’s what I have hashed out so far:
-There should be some sort of exchange rate for violence. If a woman hits you 3 (or 4 or 10 or whatever), you get one hit.
- If 3 or 4 women come at you at once, then the exchange rate is suspended and you can go to town, blow for blow.
- Any shot to the junk temporarily suspends the male handicap and earns two solid head punches or one knee to the cooter (mainly for symbolic purposes, even though I don’t think it hurts them as much as it hurts us.)
- The exchange rate depreciates if the woman plays softball or is wearing anything flanel.

Reading through the comments, you sure can tell the disconnect that so many women have in regard to the sheer implications of what this psychotic woman did, and further, how little male suffering is regarded as anything to give a shit about period.
Just like that Jezebel thread where hundreds of women were gloating about how they physically abused their men, and laughed and justified everything about it, so are there numerous women in the comment thread of the TMZ article cheering the psychotic bitch on… she was in the right… he deserved it for cheating… she should have whaled him in the groin… he should have behaved better, shame on him, he has children!…
If people are serious about ending domestic violence, the first thing they ought to do is clearly make provisions for the man to defend himself. Chris Brown, for example, if she really was assaulting him while driving a car then, without question, backhand the broad – hard enough to make her stop, so you can safely manouevre the car. I mean, really! I’d smack a kid too, if he was going to cause an accident that could seriously harm both of us, or innocent others.
I think that one of the best ways for men to get more traction on this subject is to go after it from a mental illness aspect.
Imagine your wife is mentally ill, and becomes dangerous, and you cannot get your children away from her, nor are there any services which will provide you aid.
And… it does get silly like this. There was a case here in Canada recently – Barrie, Ontario, I think, where two baby girls were murdered by their mother. The media went ballistic about the man, because apparently, they were getting divorced, and she had filed a TRO against him… apparently she was the victim of domestic violence… the fucking anchor on CTV, Dan Matheson, repeated over and over again, literally, that “he was a very, very bad man.”
Uh huh, well, here is what really was going on. She was NUTS!
She had been in and out of DV Shelters with the girls, and was pulling all kinds of psychotic crap on her husband, unleashing the police on him, having him arrested a couple of times, ruining him financially to the point where he was forced to live with his parents. She was up to all kinds of odd behaviour, including questionably safety concerns about her judgement in regard to the kids. He knew she was nuts, and was desperately trying to get the kids away from her, for their safety.
Once, this woman even went into a mental institution, in between stays at the DV Shelter, and custody of the kids I believe went over to the father’s parent’s, as he was in all kinds of legal trouble because of his psycho wife. As soon as she got out, the DV Shelter aided her directly in wrestling custody of the kids back from his family… and, a little while later, the kids were dead.
And then, the fuckers on the news, slapped that poor man in the face some more, by telling the whole country over and over again, that “he was a very, very bad man.” Neighbours eventually went after the media and told them to shut up, and reported what the woman was really up to, and the news mentioned it briefly, “oops, we were wrong – maybe” and I have never heard the case mentioned again.
The courts and the DV industry, directly conspired to keep that man from doing his damn job: protecting his kids from harm. The family made a brief statement that there was much more to this, and there were questions they needed answered from those involved, and they weren’t going to drop it… but, as I said, never heard a word.
The DV for men thing bugs me though.
It is so easy to encourage more laws, and more state intrusion into our personal lives.
It would probably work a lot better to have no laws, and let a few women get a smart smack when it is perfectly justifiable – ie, self defence, or the defence of others.
Assault and Battery Laws ought to protect us just fine, male and female, and then the government wouldn’t be getting even more power.

Sean Connery had the right idea when he said during an interview, and I’m paraphrasing, ‘You should never hit a woman…with a CLOSED hand.” There was a big uproar that he advocated hitting women if I remember correctly but if the laws weren’t so biased and men were able to administer a hard slap in certain situations when women initiate violence the whole notion of female on male DV would be moot

What you said.
Tiger Woods has possibly been attacked by a woman wielding a golf club, and knocked so hard that he can’t control a vehicle he’s using to make his escape, and is found going in and out of consciousness.
Yet an army of yentas is already out trying to shut down any admission of this possibility.
And of those not actively engaged in this shameful behavior, how many women are actively criticizing these loud, obnoxious, deceitful apologists? Of all the letters I’ve read (and that would be over 200 already today on various sites), only one woman has turned her attention on this shocking manner so many other women band together to deceive – she went so far as to say she was ashamed to be a woman (and in doing so, proved herself to be one of those rare ones innocent of the charge).
These women don’t care that it’s Tiger Woods or any other celebrity. It could just as well be you lying on the ground. Think about that. The woman you’re married to striking you with a golf club, and thousands of women throughout the world are doing their best to blame you and absolve her, who they have never met.
Why would any man want to defend such people?

Black & German: Why didn’t his mother warn him?”
I ask this question all the time!
What the hell was up with our mothers, lying their asses off to us about the nature of women, while “faking” that they haven’t a clue what we are talking about?
Fathers are known for sitting down their daughters, and explaining the ways of boys, basically betraying all men in favour of his daughter – fair enough. I would do the same.
However, why don’t mothers sit down their sons, and explain to them the ways of women, and how women will manipulate and throw heaps of abuse at them? I mean, my mother certainly has always noticed bitchy, manipulative behaviours in other women… how come the blank slate when it comes to their sons?
If you can’t trust your mom to betray the matriarchy in your favour, what woman can you trust, really?

The opinions the women hold will vary depending on the type of site you view. Try going to “Ladies Against Feminism” or one of the homeschooling, homesteading, SAHM, or traditional marriage sites. But we don’t tend to be so up-to-date, anyway. I wouldn’t even know about this if Welmer hadn’t posted as I don’t watch tv or read pop magazines.
Sometimes I think more of these guys should have their mother or other trusted female relative pick out a wife for them. They do such an abysmal job of it. Even among the blonds they only seem to want the hot (read: skanky, conniving, gold-digging kind) ones, not the decent ones.

My mom is actually moderately good about that. It is my father that is a pathetic Beta provider white knight.
Regarding other mothers, they do not bear malice towards their sons (except perhaps in Susan Walsh’s case), but they just are not capable of articulating female behavior from the outside in.
It is sort of like expecting an 8 year old to write a book about child psychology, simply because they are a member of the subject group.
Similarly, women have no understanding of women. Just go the the GirlGame blog to see the massive cognitive dissonances and solipism there (with the notable exception of Bhetti).

While Nova’s larger point stands yours does as well. I think he is overly pessimistic as we’ve seen not only what one man can do in the U.S – Carnell Smith- but also Glenn Sacks of Fathers & Families. There’ve been some successes at the margins including the direct overturns of some laws and policies. It’s true these victories have mostly been few and far between, but I remember a time not ten years ago when theere were no victories. More to the point, Nova overlooks what individual men can and will do : they will change their behavior. A few, it’s true, only a few, will swear off the Golden Vag. Still, I’m willing to bet this number will be equal or greater than the sum of all the “chaste” saints or supposedly chaste priests. More likely, more use of safer alternatives: virtual porn, prostitutes, sex dolls. No marriage or, as I might do, marriage late 30′s or later. Few if any kids, esp if you have lots of income. Foreign women, expatriation. These things will have some effect. Plus the relatively few MRA’s..though far more than ten years ago.. will have the help of second wives, smart young women, some religious women, and some women new to the culture.
While I don’t think the damaging parts of feminism will be repealed for the most part – too many entrenched interests, so I look for major changes only after an economic collapse or worse- what will happen is some repeals, some budget slashing on enforcement, some cultural correction and some actual pushback against some of the proposed laws.
I don’t think it’s socially possible for the rad fems dreams of man taxes and such to be realized anymore, and they might get a few victories..another expansive reading of DV into yet another VAWA, a ban on Sex Dolls.. I think their time has passed. Too bad so much damage has been and will be done. The after affects of all this..even if things were only slowly and gradually repealed and didn’t get a lick worse – the afteraffects will be felt for at least the next two generations.

No, clarence. We need to swear off of penis need full stop. Whether real women or pron. The Whole issue is a lack of self control, which belies a fundamental lack of spiritual strength among men. I think very few men have that, sadly. And few will have it going forward. But for those of us who are able to see it clearly, we can see that it is all silly. And the rest — they will kill the culture, because they are Godless proles who will chase their sexual six until they die or are imprisoned or otherwise dealt with.

Since I don’t think sin enters into any of this, I’ll put my trust in human nature causing a systematic crash. I don’t judge men to be quite as traiterous as you do, and I don’t have any desire to judge heterosexual male desire.
And to clarify: While the feminists are entrenched , there are now large forces in the “system’ starting to oppose any more grabs for power. And they won’t be able to do it as sneakily as before: the MRM and the newly awakened consciousness of men will stop most of the more radical stuff from being passed as light is shed on it.
I think we are about at the nadir of our female troubles. That doesn’t mean other parts of the society aren’t about to collapse or that the bad feminist policies will vanish. It just means there is no longer enough electoral and political support for such crap to make it politically worthwhile, even if business as usual continues, which I don’t expect it will in light of peak oil and other issues. Feminisms “vi ctories” in the US over the next ten years will be of these types:
A. Extension or slight expansion of laws already passed and funded.
B. In areas they are entrenched. Marital laws might get even worse but..but..the marriage strike will start to make that a losing proposition. Cohabitation laws will never fly in the US, unless they some how do it sneakily. I don’t see Glenn Sacks or others like him letting that happen.
C. Things that don’t require much funding or that they can do in conjunction with some other goal of the “left” in this country.
Mark my words. I’m willing to bet -are you?

Women’s looks often get them a free pass to cause harm. I think a lot of American men have rather primitive judgment as far as a woman’s looks are concerned, and therefore women with the bare minimum of looks can get away with a lot more than they deserve even from a purely aesthetic perspective.
I’ll also admit that I am something of an aesthete, and that I think that the concept of true beauty is abused in our democratic milieu.
I do believe looks matter, but it was just the matter of taunting and comparing her to Brad Pitt and what not. Ok, I get it, its funny, but seriously, she is stereotypically beautiful and the reality is yes, she might very well be able to get away with this crap because of those looks.

Horseman, in some states, judges have broad authority to impose whatever settlement they deem just.
In my case, it was somewhat complicated by some co-mingling, especially as it related to real estate. In the end, the settlement was based on negotiation, and it could have been worse; had an outrageous mediation result, which recommended her retirement (professionally valued at over a half mill) NOT be considered marital property (no justification was made for this), and, though I bluffed at my desire for a trial, with a leftwing black woman as judge, I really didn’t want to go there.
I’ve had conversations with three different divorce attorneys in my state (MI), and all had stories of women getting some pre-marital assets; this is most common in higher net worth scenarios and/or when the husband has substantial income. FWIW, I had a top-tier attorney in my corner, and dumped over 40 grand in legal and professional fees for a divorce of a nine year marriage with no children which never made it to trial.
BTW, this was my 2nd divorce; first time around, there wasn’t much in the way of assets to divide; this time, it was an eye-opener. Even without child custody issues, it was quickly apparent to me that the game is rigged in the woman’s favor, especially if the man has significant income and/or assets.

Asylum minister mother… Given how the asylum policy has worked out for Sweden, I wouldn’t exactly call her family classy! Tiger should have known better than to get mixed up with that kind of Marxist white trash.
@tood- the women from the girlgame blog aren’t writing hard hitting topics aimed at men. The fact that men come and enjoy the blog is a good thing but I think their aim is arm women with the tools they need to attract quality men(not always alpha) and what to do to keep him.
I have noticed that Sophia gets attacked when she dares show her intellectual muscle.
I read Mu’s post and I don’t get why he attacked them either. So what they didn’t address the mancession. They write about what they want to write about in the same vein that the male writers here write about what they want to write about. Maybe the mancession hasn’t hit the men in their lives or affected the men they pursue so they have no reason to write about it. Don’t forget that women are less likely to base their lives around charts, graphs& figures anyway. Until we feel it or know someone who has personally experienced it, most of us will be on the fence.
Furthermore, you can’t blame the mancession of feminists anyway, Gloria Steiman and the women at MS don’t have that much swag. The mancesssion happened because the jobs men typically do are being shipped overseas(factory), or were eliminated(construction) (wall st) because the big banks needed to shed workers*.
*construction falls under both.
As for the mancession and marriage, women who have a husband who is unemployed will need to suck it up and deal with the situation. The answer won’t be to bitch and moan but to work together as a family. Husbands will now have more time with their children. Women will now get to see what’s it like to be the “ man of the houseâ€.
Far fewer couples will divorce when the husband doesn’t have enough assets to siphon away in the form or child support or alimony(archaic in most cases). Some couples may even find themselves happier in the long run cause this recession won’t last. We will have a recovery in a few years.

Metz- look at pictures of Gloria Steinman in her youth. Even as an older woman, she is still fairly nice looking.
Women like beauty too, it’s just that some are jealous of very beautiful women because of the easier lives they have.
We have our own way of looking at beauty but we also understand sheer raw str8 genetic jackpot beauty too.

HR Lincoln,
Ugh.. Every day when I think I finally have fully grasped the horror of it all, something makes it even worse.
And I wanted marriage and 3 kids more than most men. It is safe to say that if marriage has lost *me*, it has lost its relevance entirely, and will fully depend on keeping young men in the dark from this point on.
Chic Noir,
My opinion is not as strong as Obsidian’s, but I will agree with him that all female dating books and blogs, including GirlGame, are just not capable of grasping the entirely of the issues facing the sexual marketplace.

The roster of highly successful men who have been subjected to divorce against their will, and stand to lose obscene wealth, are :
Hulk Hogan
Elon Musk (5 young kids)
Mel Gibson
Tiger Woods
I consider Paul McCartney to have gotten off lightly, all things considered. He lost only 5% of his wealth (even if that was an obscene amount in absolute terms).
Donald Trump never loses money in his divorces. He keeps touting the value of pre-nups, but how does he get his pre-nups to hold?

I don’t have too much sympathy for Tiger Woods.
My understanding is he was caught screwing around some other woman, that David Boreanaz (Angel, Bones) had also been screwing, and there was an argument. His face may or may not have been scratched. He took off, woozy from pain or sleeping pills, in his Caddy. At which point his wife busted up his Caddy’s windows with a golf club, and he ran into a tree and fire hydrant.
He doesn’t seem to be hurt too much, and as a practical matter there is not much his wife could do to hurt him absent lying in wait with a weapon, wait till he’s asleep, etc. If he wanted peace with his wife he shouldn’t have screwed around on her. His (alleged) mistress is fairly skanky looking, ala Rielle Hunter.
I’ve never liked Tiger Woods, he’s an arrogant jerk IMHO promoted far beyond his likeability by a race-obsessed media. Other golfers who have the misfortune of being White are never celebrated the way Woods is. Because they lack the good fortune to be born not White. Woods is talented, but fundamentally arrogant and unlikeable.
What I find amusing is all his dirty laundry is apt to come out (the tabs smell blood in the water and their female readers love this) and cost him some (not all) of his endorsements.
I doubt he will get divorced. His wife is pissed off he cheated on her, but he’s still the mega-Alpha celebrity. Women will forgive pretty much anything except being ordinary in a man. Look at Elizabeth Edwards — her husband moved his bimbo and bastard baby into the house and has reputedly made plans to ship his natural born kids off to boarding school as soon as she dies, raise his bastard daughter with his mistress. His bimbo demanding and getting apparently her daughter’s preferential inheritance and parental attention. Or Bill Clinton, serial philanderer. Or Client #9, Eliot Spitzer.
The only thing women won’t forgive is a man being ordinary and average. Everything else is negotiable based on power and status. My guess, the wife comes to accept Woods screwing random bimbos as the price she pays for marrying the big shot. I also think that Woods and his wife deserve each other, fully.

The Rules addressed the entirely of the issues facing the sexual marketplace from a woman’s point of view.

I think marriage is worth it if you want kids and you both make about the same amount of money so neither one of you is going to use the other. I wouldn’t be afraid.
Assuming divorce happens, I’m probably going to loose a lot of money but I’ll come out okay and will be able to afford having another decent size family and send all the kids to a college, etc…. Despite all the marriage bashing here I’d do it again. In fact I look forward to it – not the princess wedding stuff but settling down with someone interesting. There are a lot of good women out there. The best seem to be from other countries though.

@Angry Harry:
Your site is witty, intelligent, wide-ranging, covering a multitude of perspectives. You deal with any idiot, whether male or female, precisely as you see it, and you dish it out as they deserve it. You might be attracting a predominantly male audience, and you say that the men’s rights movement is growing. Thus far, there is nothing about your site that is at odds in any way with my perspective. ANY movement will be more likely to attract men, because men get passionate about ideas and purpose. I wish you every success, and your success is my success.
However, there are a couple of flies in the men’s rights ointment:
1) I’ve already recounted my own experience in the work-place, where I have little to thank men for;
2) I met Bill Clinton several years ago, by chance, on a world trip, as a university student on holiday. He was governor of Arkansas at the time. One of the things we spoke about was “women’s rights†(I can’t recall whether we used the word “feminism†at all – I’m not even sure if the word had entered mainstream discourse at that stage). During our friendly encounter, I sensed the presence of a wild-eyed, passionate political activist, along the lines of how we might have envisioned Lenin, Trotsky and the like at a political rally. And I have to admit that he fired me up, too… women’s rights… way to go! My point? Feminism did not happen along by accident. Women did not make it happen. Men did. The real driving force powering feminism along and boosting it into the stratosphere came from men. Feminism is a men’s movement. Feminism would never have gotten off the ground without men;
3) One feminist provided on her website the following figures, indicating that women comprise:
28.5% of the Cabinet… 13% of the US Senate… 13.8% of the US House… 22% of the US Supreme Court… 20.6% of Federal Judges… 10% of state Governors… 19.9% of state Senators 23.3% of state Representatives… 9% of state Judges… 20.8% of big city mayors
I used these figures in an article to suggest that perhaps it was time that women chipped and pulled their own weight, and that they should not be so lazy. But I digress. The bottom line is that MRAs are appealing to judges and politicians – to the very gender that first TOOK AWAY their rights – to give them back again. “Please give us back the rights that you’ve denied us? Pretty please with sugar on top? I’ll be your friend if you do.†It doesn’t make sense, to me anyway, to negotiate with the enemy. You don’t negotiate with the enemy for your rights. You demand your rights, and you take them from these goons if they’re not forthcoming.
I’m not happy with this quandary in which I find myself. On the one hand, I support MRAs in principle, but on the other, the thought of negotiating with the enemy fills me with revulsion and has me looking for my steel-capped boots. Help me out here Uncle Harry.

This is pretty stupid. Woods is promoted the way he is because he has completely dominated the sport for the last 10-15 years. He is, at this point, easily the greatest golfer ever. It really has nothing to do with race—he’s the best ever at what he does, so the media swoons.
However, I do agree that Woods is unlikeable. There’s just something about the man that says smug and arrogant, in my opinion. And he’s frequently snarky and short in his interview & press conferences. Plus I find his “sport” really boring. Just my $0.02.

Firstly, thank you for those very kind words. They are MUCH appreciated – and they have cheered me up enormously.
“On the one hand, I support MRAs in principle, but on the other, the thought of negotiating with the enemy fills me with revulsion and has me looking for my steel-capped boots. Help me out here Uncle Harry.”
Well, I feel exactly the same way as you do.
I see no reason why I should negotiate with people who are promoting, supporting and/or enacting policies that treat me, and others like me, as if we were completely worthless – and, worse, as if they are entitled to treat us badly just because we are male.
This is completely and totally unacceptable.
And, personally speaking, I don’t negotiate with such people.
I simply spend my time attacking them, undermining them and trying to rally those forces (some of which have little to do directly with feminism) that will help to counteract them.
And until such time that these people treat men decently and show some considerable concern when they are in need of help or protection, I will continue to attack them.
Unfortunately, at this particular point in time, MRAs do not have the power to FORCE these people to change their tunes. But I feel VERY confident that this time will come.
And when it does, we shall see things start to change quite quickly.
@Fifth
“Again, I have to ask about why MRAs are so ineffective.”
I have explained this to you 65 million times. I suggest that you and Novaseeker read my piece …
http://www.angryharry.com/esNoMensGroups.htm
… to understand what MRAs are up against.
To argue that MRAs are failing simply because men are too enamoured with women or because men are inherently incapable of standing together is intellectually so vapid that you should be ashamed of yourself for not delving deeper.
Read my piece. Understand it.
Criticise it if you want.
But to keep pretending that what I have written is of no relevance to the issue of why progress is so slow
suggests that you either do not understand what I have written or that you would prefer to ignore it. In either case, this somewhat reduces your credibility on this particular issue.
@Fifth
I was thinking of you last night when I watched Fun Handong (or whatever) being interviewed about his Tiannamen Square protest in China some 20 years ago.
He was asked if he would engage in this kind of ‘street activism’ again in order to affect change.
His answer was, No. Because it was pointless.
His view, like mine, was that street protests were useless without the ONGOING support of the mainstream media.
Two million protested the Iraq War. It made no difference.
What makes a difference is changing people’s minds.
That’s what people like me are trying to do.
It’s what ****YOU**** are trying to do.
So please stop complaining about MRAs.
They are doing the best that they can.

I kind of thought the whole ‘backed into a tree & fire hydrant’ story proffered by the MSM was fishy from the start. Interesting to find what rings closer to the truth here in the off-beat blog-o-sphere (though more truth is found there than most places these days), certainly more plausible than the digital fish wrapper offering. Yes, there is that foul fishy smell of a gold-digger snatch about this one . . .
The only solution to the whole divorce mess in this country (amerika) is to:
1) Abolish the family court system – entirely
2) Divide assets in family dissolution based on contribution to the community (use the tax returns to determine the ratio – and, no, SAHM is a privilege not a job; SAHM=0% contribution=0% assets)
3) No alimony
4) Rebuttable presumption of equally shared parenting
5) No Child $upport
6) Cap attorney fee’s (say no more than $2500.00, but if 1-5 were followed attorney’s wouldn’t be necessary)
7) Ban the federal gov’t from using federal funds to encourage states interference in families by offering bounties/kick-backs for Child $upport/Alimony enforcement.
These few simple steps would eliminate the gov’ts divorce industry and return some semblance of sanity to male/female relationships – which is why it is probably too much to hope for.
Go Tiger! I’m sure it was a great ride, but come on dude – why buy the cow???

I read it. Holy shit, Harry, I think you’ve nailed it. I could not find much I disagreed with, perhaps in some areas, but they may very well be anomalies. As for the marriage strike (which is more permanent than this phrase makes it sound) I don’t think it’s a coordinated effort, but individual choice having the same effect–however since it is being discussed so much more that may be changing or have already changed. In a sense, men who have informed other men about the hazards of marriage in the anglosphere are working in unison. IMO the primary problem we have is in focusing on narrow parts of the picture instead of stepping back and viewing the larger picture, and this holds true for all of us. We tend to get so focused on individual parts that we don’t/won’t see the whole–and this is what we must do. It would be most constructive for those who don’t agree with what Harry has written to post specifically what it is and why they disagree.
Harry, you put a considerable amount of thought and effort into writing that, and it’s much appreciated.

Codifying Entitlement Materialist Feminism from the bird’s eye view by pulling together the linchpins (follow the $$$) then attacking it via AQ-style independent, coordinated effort I think will bring the entire System to a screeching, grinding halt.
Celibacy/Ghosting, Expat/FWs, and Game/PUA are the best methods available for us to tackle the problem & allow for each man to act in the best way possible–when he’s motivated by his own self-interest.

That about sums it up. If Woods were the woman and Nordgren was a man, and Woods simply said, “she was hitting me, so I tried to get in the car and leave but wrecked while he was chasing me with a golf club down the driveway”, could you IMAGINE how the media would play this? (!)
NYT:
” Athlete Nordgren Chases Wife Woods Down Driveway With Golf Club After Assaulting Her Face, Makes Her Have Car Wreck. Victim Taken Away In Ambulance”………..Commentary: “Domestic Violence Still At Epidemic Levels”—Frank Herbert on page 21 of this issue.
BTW—–The NYT wouldn’t tell you about the cheating part if Woods had done the same thing to his wife because she was cheating with a man.

Furthermore…………………this looks much like the classic “domestic violence” case in that infidelity is the reason for someone losing it, and beating up the other person.
As Im sure many of you have noticed, domestic violence propaganda focuses on how there is “no excuse” for domestic violence, and focuses entirely on the violence end of it, and makes faux suggestions (if any) on the reason for the violence. FACT: Men typically don’t beat up their wives because they dont like the way she cooked dinner, had a routine argument about what movie to go see, her carping about him watching a ball game, or how she redecorated the living room. Men typically beat up their wives or girlfriends because of infidelity or their suspicions of it.
The play usually is written like this: He finds evidence of her infidelity and suspects something. He tries to play detective and gather more evidence. He finds something that he believes is not deniable and confronts her. She lies (poorly) and attempts to “turn it around on him” and act outraged. He loses his cool and smacks her, calls her some names. The cops get called. Infidelity is assuredly the number one root cause of domestic violence, even if it manifests itself after another event. Its the cheating that he is pissed off about deep down inside. Most ordinary men dont marry their wives because they want to beat them up.
The second biggest cause of marital disconent is finances. One of the parties is spending more money than the couple has (on themselves) and there is an argument over this. It can be the male or female. One spouse emptying out the other’s accounts is another reason for marital blow ups. Men admittedly are often given to buying themselves uneccessary expensive toys almost as much as women are guilty of spending ludicrous amounts of money on extraneous things that are puzzling to men.
If Tiger Woods was porking around, he should have expected this kind of response. However we dont know what kind of wife Erika Nordgren is to Woods. Has she cut off the romance post marriage? Was she just a gold-digger and is cold to him now? Or is she really a good loving wife genuinely outraged that her husband is cheating on her, and has a broken heart and acted out on it? Only the two of them know.
I look forward to the day that scientific lie detection (brain scans that identify which areas of the brain light up when the questioned are being dishonest) so that we can pair down the truth in cases like this with good accuracy. If a man did what Nordgren did (facial scratching), he would indeed be charged in this case. Double standard.

There is a lot at play here regarding double standards. It appears that Tiger is protecting his wife at all costs. Would she have done the same for him or pulled a Rihanna?
There is no public outcry at his injuries? Holy hell would have broken out if the shoe were on the other foot.
The police are handling this with kid gloves since the male was the injured party. If she were injured, they would have had a warrant to bust into his home and arrest him on probable cause for domestic violence.

well the latest is that tiger, for the third time, has “declined” a “police interview”
hoo hoo!
yeah baby thats what i’ll say next time the cops separate my rig from the fire hydrant: ‘I Decline’
‘Come Back Next Toozday’
smells like week-old flounder . . . the delay is, in itself, most suspicious/suggestive, gives tiger and ms. meatball a couple extra days to chat with lawyers and advisors for damage control, to lay out a unified story and minimize disruption to their economic empire
oh well
if required, i expect it could all be arranged again

No argument about the double standards. This case reeks with double standards.
But it looks like Tiger Woods is telling people that it was just a car crash. Color me skeptical. But with him saying that, we can hardly expect the police and media to treat it as a domestic violence case.
And yes, if the genders were reversed there would be many fingers of suspicion pointed at the man anyways.

The first time I heard this on the news, I was thinking “How in the world could Tiger get those injuries from going below 30 miles per hour?” . Then I came on here and find out that not only did his wife bust out the back window of the car, but did it with a golf club, which I didn’t know at first. I read the rest of the post, and it all made sense. I asked my Mom about it today and she agrees with you all, that his wife did that to him.
I really hope he comes forward and tells everyone the truth. What I’m not looking forward to is the condemnation targeted at HIM for “letting” her do that to him, and the jokes.
Black and German,
Well don’t people’s true colors manifest themselves in relationships, especially marriage. Don’t plenty of victims of DV say that when they were dating the abuser, he/she was the perfect gentleman/lady, but after they were married, the abuse started? Or in Abagond’s case, did he marry the woman even though she clearly showed that she was crazy?
Expatriate,
Hey, hey, hey now, strippers can have a heart of gold
In this economy, I don’t blame any woman who wants to be one lol.
Thursday,
I’m sorry, but it worries me how anyone, man or woman, can admire anyone who beats or kills a cheating spouse. There are better ways in handling the situation.

You’d be surprised how large the MRM already is. I don’t think you, or a great deal of the readership here, actually have enough contact with MRAs to understand a great deal about us. Granted, that this is not a MRA publication; but, that aside, articles like “Open and Closed System Game, MRAs, and the Prisoner’s Dilemma“, which state “I place MRAs into two broad categories – those who dislike feminism and its results and those who dislike women because they are women. The latter being misogynists.” reveal a great deal of ignorance as to what the MRM is, both in its entirety and its premises.
The National Coalition for Men, is a great example of what I’m talking about. They started in 1977, which makes them much older than a lot of you think the men’s movement actually is. It’s taken us some time; but, we are accumulating power to enact change. Look at how NCM helped in the Dubay case of Michigan. This year we convinced West Virginia Judges to finally hold Abuse Shelters accountable, if they discriminate against men and turn them away. That is political power; but, it takes time- something not everyone wants to hear. It will still take decades before the MRM can enact federal power, instead of influencing the state powers-that-be; but, it is indeed happening.
Furthermore, your belief that men’s interests in women will hinder, if not prevent, the MRM is short-sited and too simple on the matter. Sex is less important to most people, than you seem to realize. For most people, living without a mate is not that hard; and, how could sexual interests hinder political interests? These two things are markedly unrelated. Sex has nothing to do with protesting, is one way to put it.

We don’t know the details of the whole affair. Neither him nor any witnesses have come forward about her abusing him. We simply don’t know. We can’t assume her guilt, without an investigation. There are reasons for him to protect her; but, we need proof to come to such conclusions.
Still though, the police botched this. She should be in jail for a night, while they investigate for clues. They shouldn’t be allowed to be together, until it is known whether she assaulted him or not. I hope she doesn’t attack him again though, if it did indeed occur in the first place. Whoever was in charge of this response call should be suspended for not separating the two, and conducting an investigation right then and there! This kind of callousness could cost lives, if they always assume that a possible batterer is always innocent. We shouldn’t assume that she is guilty; but, we shouldn’t be convinced that she is guilty. There is the possibility, it needs to be explored.

Should be a law that no one can get involved in married couples business no matter what the fuck happens. Only after a divorce can anything be done. It is the fucking pussies that keep worrying about everyone elses fucking business and wanting to regulate everyone else because they cannot picture life without someone telling them what the fuck to do.

Renee,
Abagond married his wife because she was beautiful. He even says as much. Men can be blinded by beauty. Women’s beauty does to men’s brains what men’s status or power does to women’s: it makes them blind to their other faults.
In most domestic violence disputes I’ve personally been aware of, they were infamous for fighting even before the marriage and they tended to hit each other; it wasn’t all one-way. And when it seems to come out of nowhere like this, then it’s usually about infidelity, or the loss of a job, death of a child, or something else ground-shaking. Sometimes people just flip-out. Sometimes they act out violently and sometimes they hurt or even kill themselves. There’s only so much someone can take before they go completely off their rocker.
Looks like she went off her rocker. But the extent to which she did so points toward deeper mental instability.
Of course we could all be wrong about this but it’s just too suspicious…

I felt this deserved repeating. Brilliant statement. Women lack meta-cognition. They lack self awareness.

It is nice that Tiger took all the blame for this incident. Now when this psychotic beauty queen decides to take over his house, assets, children, and anything remaining in his life the question from her attorney, the judge, and the GAL will be” Then explain to us, Mr. Woods, your statements to the authorities after this accident?? Were you lieing then or are you lieing now”?? Yes folks it is that easy he was even bamboozled, like many of us, by his own advisors and attorney.

Tiger needs to hide the fact his wife attacked him
He doesn’t hide that fact and he puts Elin into a corner where her only option out is to claim self-defense (That Tiger was being menacing physically and verbally assaulting her in their argument over his potential infidelity)
We all know who would win that case.

It seems like all everyone is focusing on now is the possibility that he cheated. It’s still believed that he had a car accident. I don’t think I heard anyone on television bring up the possibility that his wife caused his injuries.
Gunslinger,
Just so they can be charged with murder? But hey, if the guy who pushes the button never gets caught, then no problem right? Perhaps I’m taking this comment too seriously (I hope I am lol)…..
Isn’t this mindset why noone considers that a woman can be guilty of domestic violence against her husband? Isn’t that what many of the guys here have a problem with? And would you really want a law that forbids people in getting involved in a married couple’s business, no matter what the fuck happens? How far should this be taken?

He did have a car accident.
However, the guy is probably the best golfer who has ever lived. He has fantastic coordination skills and appears to be someone who would, under normal circumstances, be *very* unlikely to drive into a fire hydrant right outside his house. And no drugs/alcohol were involved, per the police.
Questions abound. Just what was he doing driving at that hour on Thanksgiving night? Just how did he come to lose control of his car so quickly? Just how did his wife happen to have a golf club to bash the windows of the car, and just *when* did that rear window get bashed? Is it more likely that a hellaciously angry wife smashed it into the rear window as the car was driving away, or that she smashed the rear window to get to her husband who was … in the *front* of the car …
Something smells here. Not a routine car accident at all. My guess: they had a fight about the affair(s). She probably got physical, slapped him or what have you — heck, maybe she was chasing him around the house with a golf club for all we know. And he decided to leave, because he’s not stupid and he knows that if he stays in that situation all of the outcomes are bad. So he goes into the car to go for a drive, just to get away from the psycho wife, and she bashes the car repeatedly with the golf club, distracting him and causing him to crash into the hydrant and tree. That makes a hell of a lot more sense than the BS story the Woods family is trying to sell to the media.
But it makes sense for Woods to be playing it this way. Why? There is no upside to him spilling the beans about what happened. First, it would simply shed more light on the affair(s) and that’s pretty much a downer for him. Second, it would make him look like a cad because his wife would spend a night in jail, and everyone would think he’s just an alpha cad ass who cheated on his wife and then sent her to jail — in fact the Slate article said exactly that, basically saying that no matter what, it’s different when a woman is violent with a man, even if she is armed. If you switch the sexes, it gets spun completely differently, but since the sexes are the way they are, there really was no upside at all for Tiger to be forthcoming about what actually happened here. There really is no upside for men in that situation. Tiger tried to do the best he could by GTFO of the house, but she distracted him and he lost control of the car. Otherwise, it just would have been a weird late night drive (and probably an explanation the next day or so to the car guy about how your rear window got shattered….).

Commingled is an evidentiary issue and not that serious a one, usually. The issue is pre or extra marital property, versus marital property. Extra marital in the feminist era lexicon means mostly inheritance, or other gifts. Which was established to benefit women, but that does go way back, as one of the first things that did.
I think you’ve read some old news. Divorce lawyers once thought to make big hay on the issue.

Super alphas (in his case based on fame, money, other status and youthful looks, rather than male female playfully dominant game, at all it seems) deserve to have other women not their wives without hyper serious consequences. I.e. hell no she doesn’t deserve half his money when that would wean centi millions. The idea is obscene. It’s utterly absurd. I was unthinkable four decades ago. Stop hating the rich more than wanting gender fairness.
He should have been able to cut that off with a prenup though. Prenups are actually easiest for the rich to negotiate and get stick, unfortunately. What woman one the eve of marriage will insist that she deserves more than e.g. 10 or 20 or 25 million on divorce, no matter how rich her husband is and how much richer he might become. How does that make her look? Golddigger much? Esp. when women want divorce about 2.5x more often than men do in this feminist age?

In case anyone hasn’t noticed, we live in an age where thousands of women are looking for any shot they can get at celebrity. Any shot at all. What does lying through teeth matter if it gets your face on TV and the phone starts ringing from magazines wanting exclusive stories? And when was the last time a lying woman was ever charged for making up stories about her relationships with famous men?
There’ll be plenty more throwing their hat in the ring before this story has been squeezed for everything it’s worth.

Yep, no excuses for the affairs, but I think when men slap their wives around due to infidelity the focus tends to be on the DV and not the affair. Having said that, Tiger is trying to cover it all up for his own benefit, and not really succeeding. The truth will out, as they say.

Everything Tiger Woods is coming out with now sounds like the very same line that all well-known men come out with whenever there is any marital friction. Doesn’t it strike you as odd that wives of high-profile men never commit DV, in spite of all the research figures that show how prevalent female violence is? And don’t all P.R. releases where the man takes all the fault upon himself sound like they were all read from the same song-sheet?
Now I don’t for a minute believe anything Tiger Woods is saying now is from the heart. People with much to lose don’t do their own P.R. any more than they would self-represent in court or do their own finances. They hire people to do it for them.
Clearly the advice is always “never blame your wife”.

Because there is no upside there. Look at Lorena Bobbitt. Women will line up behind violent acts by women against men who cheat. It’s very simple. And society will loathe men who do the same thing to women who cheat. It’s a double standard, of course, but Woods is aware of that, as is his publicist, and so it makes no sense to be forthcoming here — there is literally no upside for him.

More than that, somehow America is supposed to show the perfect family. America votes for change yet somehow pretends an illusion. I don’t want to judge another culture because I am not worthy to throw a stone but aren’t Americans out of touch with reality?
Not so long ago an interest group condemned a few New Zealand politicians for using drugs. A spokesperson for all politicians came out to address the nation with a small list of names. He read the names and said, “These are the politicians who haven’t used drugs”. It had something like 5 names out of 120+ politicians.
Reality: Our world is a mess. Oh, but everyone here knows that. I suppose the hardest truth I had to confront came from an active old school wealthy feminist who said, “There is no truth”. I guess politics is a game after all and truth means nothing. So sad, too bad.

right, something like 80% of amerikan females heartily approved of lorena cutting off john’s dick while he was unconscious — even absent evidence that he had “abused” her
now THAT is truth, pontius punkette
not to mention a very accurate gauge of the tremendous free-floating rage and hate that western females feel towards males — a rage constantly exacerbated by the government, academy, and Medea
here’s the u.s. Medea as tiger-the-pussy prostrates himself before Goddess Columbia, begging forgiveness for being male
http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/sex/whats-next-for-elin-nordegren-and-tiger-woods-549896/
the article informs us that the swedish meatball is actually the VICTIM here — as was lorena and all the gang — and gossips about what the pore abused girl will do next . . . will she dump him? LOL
if tiger had whomped her, the Medea furies would be busy decrying and destroying him from ten thousand directions, instead of pretending that he was actually a victim
then they’d use it as a platform to pass even more male-hating “laws” and to fund even more male-hating programs, shelters etc

This just underlines even more strongly what a shiite deal marriage is in American today for me.
Truly shiite.
How much better Tiger would have been without it.
If he really had to have kids (which is hugely legally disadvantageous for successful men in today’s feminist America, so most sentient high achieving me like me shouldn’t, my choice) he should have done it out of wedlock. Still huge pay but way less. She could live with. Less legal power transfer. Even less than with an ideal prenup, because there’s less chance of the law changing to completely screw you. He still should have had a prenup like agreement though.
What a screw job the Anglosphere family law is now for men. Total screw job for men worth anything.

Regarding kids :
I remind everyone here that for a man who REALLY, REALLY wants to do it, donor eggs + IVF + surrogate in India costs just $20,000. There are top-notch clinics that cater to Westerners and Japanese, and only two trips to India 9 months apart are required. If you want, you can even have 2 babies going in parallel with 2 surrogates.
Yes, two biological parents are always better, blah, blah, blah. This is not something most men should attempt, but for those who REALLY have the will and means to do it (and have a sister/mother who will play a major role), this option does exist.
A nanny is always cheaper than a wife.
Just know what options are available to you, as men.

As unbelievable as it sounds Sweden (and probably Norway) may be even worse.
Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik, who introduced Elin to Tiger, quoted by ESPN:
“I would be especially sad about it since I’m kind of — I really feel sorry for Elin — since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him,” Parnevik said. “We probably thought he was a better guy than he is.
